Nice shorts

I bought the size 4P and they fit at my waist and hips perfectly. I’m 4’11” and 99 lbs. The flex waist is very comfortable. Hopefully the spandex at the waist will wash well. The only thing thing that I don’t like is that the picture shows the bottom of the pant leg tapers close to the thigh but all three of the colors I received flare out as they get to the end of the pant leg, as if thighs got wider towards the knee. It’s not flattering if your legs are on the thinner side like mine. They are well made, comfortable and the material is cool. If you have a heavier thigh and leg they might be more flattering on you.

I'm definitely a 12petite. That said, these shorts are pleasantly loose in the waist. I will wear a belt with these. I would order the same size if I order in another color.

Lee’s sizing/measurement chart is ridiculously inaccurate.

I ordered a size 2 Petite which is the smallest size available in these shorts. In looking at Lee’s measurement guide, it states that a size 2 = 27” to 27 1/2” waist and hips 35.5” to 36”. I am 5’2 1/2” tall at 104 pounds. My waist is 30” and hips are 36”. So I was more concerned that size 2 might be too small for waist, but I have other well-known brands in size 2 and they fit perfect. When I tried these on, they were so big, they could have almost dropped to the floor. I laid them out flat and measured the waist and it measured at 33”, no where close to accurate. I checked the sewn-in size label inside the waist band to make sure it was really a size 2P and it was. The clear tape stuck to the shorts indicating size also reflected as 2P. No question that these were 2P shorts, which I ordered, but good grief, they are way too big. Inaccurate sizing charts is one of the biggest reasons I don’t care for ordering online. I’m grateful that I ordered via Amazon, because ordering from Lee would have cost me $6.95 to return, whereas Amazon offered free returns. It’s too bad, because the shorts really looked nice. The Amazon experience for the return was quick and easy. Kudos to Amazon. Lee…not so much.
