All sorts of sorting
This fun toddler activity is a great way to engage little ones in sorting by shape, color, or design. It comes with a pamphlet with different ideas for games depending on the age of the child. The theme is under the sea which makes it fun if water is involved. The plastic pieces are well constructed and seem durable, though the cardboard backsplashes and parts get whooped up very easily in toddlers' hands. Still a fun activity and would be a wonderful gift for a young preschool child.

Super Cute!
Learning Resources toys are one of my favorites to grab, so I snagged this to try and we love it! Really easy to use, sturdy box that can be used a lot and bright colors. We did get a duplicate of one of the the critters in orange. It's very appealing to little ones and there are a lot of fun ways to play and learn with this set! I'll add pictures soon! Hope you find this helpful!

Adult set up for child learning fun
This set of sea sorting animals comes in a rectanglar box that looks almost like a square. I mention this because it made putting it away frustrating for my preschoolers. They ended up pushing the lid because it looks like it should fit but is off by just a little bit. The items for this toy are very specific to this toy. In other words, you can't really take some parts of this to use with something else. The sea animals have a circle on the back and only stand upright within the foam that comes with this set. Although this is suggested for 3 years old, most kids that age aren't ready to put the rectangle mats on to the foam. This would need to be used with an adult to set it up at least. My preschool students spent a lot of time working with this set.

Great for learning to count! |Learning Resources Under The Sea Sorting Set - 46 Pieces, Age 3
Wonderful little counting/learning set. I ordered this for my daughter originally but she took to counting really easily, so we ended up using it to help my nephew instead, who's having a little more trouble grasping onto counting so far. Kids innately seem to just love sea creatures, so I think using this little play set is helping just by using something he's so interested in. The pieces are sturdy and stable despite a lot of cardboard being used (which initially put me off, but the set is actually quite well made). He hasn't quite graduated to understanding the sorting aspect of the game, but the older kids are helping and they are enjoying that part too. Overall a really fun and cute game and more engaging than I expected, at least the kids all seem to like it and that's all I can hope for lol. Recommended!

Cute for Younger Toddlers
- easy to understand - lots of different ways to teach kids things (counting, colors, etc.) - definitely meant for younger toddlers, not older (if they can already count and recognize colors, there's not much for them to do with it) - this is difficult because the recommended age for this product is 3 and up but I think it is perfect for age 2 - somewhat difficult to push toys into the foam

Fun Educational Toy! Bright Color Attract Your Littles!
Teaches colors, sorting and different sets of sea creatures. Really fun toy for the littles to play with. My granddaughter is currently a little over 2 years old and she loves her new fishy game. I will ask her to give me a specific item such as give me 2 fish or give me a pink or green fish. Or give me all the turtles. The different types of animals and the shells are such a nice combination of an introduction to "sea life". 4 Stars. Hope you find this review and pictures helpful. I think it is truly an educational toy that will allow the child to grow with the toy and continue finding ways to learn even more!

Great early learning resource
I ordered this for my 5 year old son who is about to start kindergarten. This is a fantastic way to cover the basics and help them prepare for school and retain basic math knowledge at home while keeping kids entertained! He absolutely loves playing with this with me and it's super simple and can be used a multitude of ways, from basic counting to addition subtraction and multiplication, as well as pattern recognition sorting and of course colors too! It can be played as a game and is fun enough to not feel like learning or a chore and is perfect for kids like him who have difficulty focusing or retaining things they have been told. It almost brings out a competitive side but in a fun innocent way that challenges him to recognize patterns and remember what he did wrong. I even ended up sending this to daycare with him and his daycare teacher used it with the other kids as well! Just an all around fantastic learning tool. The product itself is made very well and all of the little pieces are good quality and feel very durable so this item could be reused with multiple kids for a long period of time. The only piece I could ever see wearing out is the little net or board but with proper care those will last for quite awhile too. There are of course small parts so keep a close eye on very young children around this but overall it is fantastic and a great value.

Well designed to keep the young minds in our family engaged
I'm finding that these Learning Resources toys are fantastic is several ways, and this is no exception, I'm impressed. Most importantly they're really good at keeping our children engaged. The pieces are well made, brightly coloured and the rules of the game are moderately challenging for younger minds to process - but in a way that rewards them for success rather than becoming frustrating. Highly recommended.

Great for developing numeracy skills in a play situation.
This is a really great set for developing numeracy skills and introducing patterns and sequence. With an under the sea theme, this set includes 25 sea creatures in 5 primary colours; 1 net; 5 corresponding sorting shells; 2 coral reefs; 10 double sided activity sheets; 2 playmats and 1 foam mat with clips for securing the sheets. If I am honest, I wish this set included atleast 1 more foam mat, as this would enable more children to play at one time, however that is being a little nit-picky. I really like the sorting creatures - there are fish, turtles, jellyfish and starfish as well as octopus. These slot nicely in to the foam mat, and when used with the printed sheets introduces numerals 1 - 5 as well as numerals 1 - 25, and offers pattern and sequencing practise. There are also some play sheets which will encourage free exploration with the toys. The quality of the toys are really good - the details on the creatures are great, the shells are well formed and the cards are nicely printed. As with all toys that I am offered to review, I shared this with the Nursery where I work and it was a very popular resource - It was great for our younger 2 - 3s who are developing numeracy skills to 5, but also offered learning opportunities for our pre-school children as they could add creatures together and use the extended numeracy card to 25. In a domestic setting, this means that this game will adapt as your child develops, offering really good value for money. The plastic parts are easy to wash with warm soapy water (essential in these post- covid days!) and should last well. I think I will poke holes in the card base which is supplied with this box, as this will double the play value for my children, but you wouldn't need to do this in a domestic situation. A great game, great quality and reasonably priced.

My grandchildren made up their own rules.
My grandchildren weren't quite ready for the written rules so they made there own rules. They enjoyed sorting them into different colours and type , I'll keep trying to introduce the rules which I'm sure they will be able to follow soon.

Colourful number activities
As with the other Learning Resources sets, this sorting set comes with a variety of different activities you can do with your child to help with counting and sequences. My little one enjoyed fishing with the net and hiding some of the animals under the shell, so we’d have to work out what was missing. Great activities that can be simple or more complex for when they’re older.

Another Good Learning Resources Product
We ordered this 'Under The Sea Sorting Set' for our granddaughter, who is the recommended age of 3+ (which appears to be appropriate), and has enjoyed playing with and learning from the contents. Products from 'Learning Resources' are more often than not, really good quality, and the components within this set match the brand's usual standards. On the downside, a price of £28.00 is more than a little expensive for the contents of the set, however, when taking a child's development into consideration, and the replay value of the product, the price then becomes more reasonable.
