Such a cute game!
I’ve used this in my classroom for years, it’s a great way to teach shapes, encourage turn taking, and all around fun. I love it so much I bought it for my daughter for Christmas. My only complaint is the spinner is only cardboard and after cleaning/normal wear and tear it looks rough.

Excellent Quality Learning Game for Lil' Ones.
This review is for the Learning Resources Take 10 Shape Finder Cookies. I bought this shape sorting game for my 3 year old son. He currently is enrolled in the Early Childhood Special Education program. I'm constantly looking for activities that will grab his interest as well as assist him in the various areas he struggles in. This little game does just that. Included in this purchase is a small carrying container, 24 cookies, and a spinner (please see included image to view what's included). The carry case is plastic, paint can shaped container and would have made suitable storage had my older kids not ripped the bottom off. I chose to place the pieces in a container with latches which actually proved to make for a better storage choice as my child struggled with the lid on the container it came with (please see included image for my storage solution). The game comes with a variety of ideas of how to play this with your child. We use it for shape identification, following directions, taking turns and sorting. Each cookie is firm; my son has chewed on them and tried to squish them and they're in perfect condition. They are not slippery and have a nice thickness to them which makes it easier to grasp. I'm very pleased with the quality of this game. I have no doubt that it will last for many years. As soon as my son no longer uses it, I will be donating it to our early childhood program so other kids can benefit from it.

Nice toy; lame game
My 19 month old knows about 10 basic shapes. I got these for reenforcing what he knows. I know they are recommended for ages 3+, but he doesn't put toys in his mouth, and he has been fine with them. He was able to pick out the shapes immediately but wasn't very interested in the cookies. That could be because he never eats the real thing, so he may not find them exciting. I believe a child with a play kitchen might get a lot of use from them beyond the game. The game suggested in the instructions is very lame. I made a different game (matching the cookies to a drawing of them) that should make better use of the pieces. It's for practicing shapes and counting.

Cute Educational Game for 2-5 year olds
I have a 2 1/2 and 5 year old and they both enjoy this game. It is super cute and a great way to practice and enforce shapes. Players spin the spinner and have to choose the "cookie" shape indicated or may have to put a cookie into the "cookie jar." The first player to get a complete set of all 5 cookies wins. When my oldest son was younger I was always looking for a fun and simple way to practice and review shapes with him. This game finally meets all my expectations. I like that it's simple enough that my 5 year old can play alone with my 2 year old. Also it is very versatile. You can play the game or you can just play with the cookies ask your child to identify the various shapes. It is great quality for a reasonable price.

This is great!
My 2 year old is learning her shapes and this is so great as a game to play together. The cookies are much higher quality than I thought they were. I assumed they would be cheap plastic but these are a harder resin type material. They are a little realistic, so took a few minutes for her to get over the fact she couldn't eat them. I am so excited for this, and I can't wait to buy more of the take 10 buckets!

Cute cookies but overall game concept is 'meh'
The quality of the actual pieces is very high. The overall size of the game is a lot smaller than anticipated. This was purchased off of my niece's wish list as a Christmas present- when she opened it, my sister-in-law said it was smaller than she thought it would be as well. And that the cookies would probably get more use being added to their play kitchen than used as an actual game. Slightly disappointing but the cookies themselves are really cute- so I know it will get used but just not in the intended way.

Quality, realistic, colorful, fun way to learn shapes and sorting.
I have two of these sets. The first one came in a nice cookie jar. I ordered these to add to that set. I use them with preschoolers as a group activity. They love the bright colors and the way they feel. They stack and sort and identify colors and shapes. I don't play the game with the younger preschoolers. Just sorting. Older kids-4's and 5's love playing the game.

The cookies are cute but the game is nothing special
These cookies are so cute!! The game is nothing special but for me, that's ok because I bought them for my daughter's play kitchen and the cookies didn't disappoint! Thank you :)

recommande cet achat
