Warning! Features are Not as Advertised.

The product description on this item states "Break-off tabs on devices with switches permit conversion to separate feeds." I purchased one of these and broke off the tab, only to find that the two circuits are connected together inside of the switch body and cannot be separated. I called Leviton Customer Support and they connected me with an engineer who confirmed this intenal connection. The earlier version S03-5226-ISP neon light/switch combo (also carried by Amazon) may have circuits that can be separated, but I have not confirmed that with Leviton yet.

Useless

The purpose of a lighted switch is to let you know when the switch is on. Since the light on this switch is so dim you can't tell when it is on the switch doesn't do much good. I have 4 such switches for my outside lights. They were installed over 30 years ago. All of the lights are very bright. One of them developed a bad switch, but the light was still bright. I got a replacement, and the switch works fine, but the light is very dim. This is the remark in many of the reviews. Has anyone at Leviton ever looked at these switches? What has happened over the years? Before I installed this one, I ordered 3 more. They haven't arrived yet, but when they do, they will be returned to Amazon. I have trouble understanding how a company such as Leviton can make and sell such a bad product. Don't they ever look at their reviews?
