soft disconnect

I bought this switch to control a 1.5hp 240v vacuum pump, well within the switch capacity. It is essential to have a firm startup because the connection between motor and pump is a rubber spider which can suffer damage if the startup is discontinuous. Startup works fine, but the disconnect is very soft. It is possible to pull down on the toggle and stop the motor without the toggle switching to the off position. This is not ideal, as a "wimpy" hand on the switch can cause intermittant motor action and possible pump/motor damage. Better to buy a true motor starter if this concerns you, even though it would cost a lot more. I will.
