Tubular bulbs are difficult to install and remove.

We first bought the incandescent 40 watt tubular bulbs that were recommended. The length of the bulbs made them difficult to install. The light produced by the 40watt bulbs was dim, and the bulbs produced a great amount of heat. We then ordered 60 watt LED bulbs. There was great difficulty extracting the 40 watt bulbs because there wasn't sufficient room to unscrew the bulbs. They butted up against the end of the lamp before they were loose from the threads. After working with them for a half hour, finally got them out without breaking them. The 60 watt LEDs produced much more white light and are slightly shorter, making them easy to install.

Crooked and finish is not good

As far as just being a lamp, this is great because it lights up my sheet music and the piano keys beautifully. In the six weeks or so that I have had it, it has stayed put. However, the “shade” part I guess you’d call it is crooked and there is no way to straighten it out. It drives me crazy. The finish is also scuffed up in places. For the price I would expect better, but I kept it because nicer ones cost so much more.

Very Nice light BUT

The light arrived with the packaging in great shape. The was a box on a bigger box. When I unpack aged the lamp which was enclosed in a Styrofoam block. I hate Styrofoam. I discovered that there were 2 small dents in the shade. Not what I expected. We are going to use it for our church piano. Not sure what I want to do. Tried taking a picture. They don't show up well. This must have happened at the manufacturer. Not sure why the would let this go,because it's a beautiful lamp.

not the best thing for an antique piano. it doesn't hold the position. comes with poor instructions and no light bulb. could at least give a coupon. plan to return it if I can find where to send ot.

Two defective lamps returned...

Lamp given as a present based on description and generally positive reviews. However, original lamp had a broken adjustment screw and was returned for a replacement (since design and overall construction seemed to meet the needs). Turns out the replacement came with a warped base so it wouldn't sit evenly on the piano. Returned for refund since the quality control on this item apparently cannot be trusted...

This is a sweet piano lamp - it's just what I wanted! Really sturdy and bright, and lovely to look at. Very pleased with this purchase!
