Cheap
The lid doesn't fit on properly and is constantly popping out of the hinge every time you open it. Overall the entire thing just feels very cheap and easily broken. Also it is small so if your kid is older than like 3, they probably wont be able to play with this. Bought for my 5 year old as he wanted a toy grill but he has to kneel down to be able to play with it.

My granddaughter loves this. I just wish the lid would lock or snap closed so you could store all of the accessories in it without them falling out all over the place. Great quality. I recommend.

You need pliers to fit the lid on FYI
I almost lost it putting this thing together because the lid component simply would not operate and wouldn’t stay up. This is because the gray tabs on the grill/lid combo must be squeezed down to fit into the black tab receivers on the black grill bowl. You can’t do it without using pliers but THEY DON’T TELL YOU THAT! IN fact no instructions were even included. I watched a you tube video that made assembly look so easy but that was total BS. See photo as a reference for where to use pliers. Be sure the orange cover lines up in the proper groove on the gray grill top as well… it is not intuitive.Hope this helps someone not lose their mind and waste an hour trying to figure this out! Cute little grill set for the money but Little Tikes should include instructions and tell you when tools are required. So frustrating!

READ THIS REVIEW IF YOU ARE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH ATTACHING THE LID CORRECTLY!!!
First I want to start out with the problem with the lid that other reviewers talked about. I decided to purchase this despite what they said, when it arrived I put it together and at first I was like, yep they were right, this is a poor design with the lid, BUT.... I kept looking at it where the tabs on the gray grill part goes into the black base and if you look from the bottom it appears they are in there but the lid would not stay up and if it leaned too far back then the gray grill part would pop out. I kept on looking at it and realized that if you looked in there from the top there are small tabs (I can't think of a better word!) that should click into the rectangular notches in the black part and they weren't in there. Anyway, we had to use pliers to squeeze the parts together because our hands were not strong enough to do it. Once we heard each of the clicks (I think it was two of them) we knew we had it together and then the lid worked perfectly. It stayed up just fine. You don't have to hold it up and it doesn't flip back pulling the gray grill up. So, WHEN PUTTING THE LID ON THIS GRILL MAKE SURE YOU HEAR AT LEAST TWO CLICKS WHEN YOU SNAP THE GRAY AND BLACK PARTS TOGETHER and then it should work just fine. As for the grill itself: I think it is a great value for the price, especially with all the accessories you get with it. However, I expected a better quality plastic since it was made by Little Tikes. Usually, their toys have much thicker plastic. But I think this should hold up just fine. The grill was super easy to put together except for the lid. The directions are just photos, no words, so I give that two stars since they are not clear on making sure that when putting on the lid the parts snap together securely. I do wish they had made the trays on the sides double what they are (they are only 3" wide) so that there was room to put a little plate to hold the food on them. I did not get the accessories out of the package but they seem solid enough with the usual Little Tikes thick plastic. You get mustard, ketchup, 2 hot dogs, 2 hot dog buns, 2 hamburgers, 2 hamburger buns (top and bottom), tongs and a slotted spatula. Yes, they do look slippery, but plastic food usually is. The hot dog buns are super cute!! We have yet to give it to our granddaughter, because it is a Christmas gift, but it appears that it is just the right size. She is 2 1/2. From the floor to the top of the grill (not including the lid) it's about 18" tall. And I do have to say that this grill is incredibly adorable! It looks just like a mini Weber kettle grill! Note: Since I have heard that sometimes the reviews on Amazon are not totally honest, I want everyone to know that this is an honest review that I decided to put on here because of the lid problem everyone was talking about. I did not get this item "to try out and review", I just wanted to offer assistance about the lid problem because the directions are not clear.

Cute grill but lid requires DIY to work properly
Overall this is a cute and inexpensive grill but beware, it needs an extra assembly step to be fully functional! It's just the right height for both my 5 year old and 1.5 year old to play with. The food accessories are pretty cheap looking but it is easy to swap those out for other items. But as many others have said, the lid is a problem. I even struggled with it, it never once stayed aligned. So it would have caused my kids unnecessary frustration. I was about to return it but then saw the advice of another reviewer and screwed it into place. Genius! I just put 2 screws in and attached cap nuts to the back. Less than $2 at the hardware store and now it works perfectly!

It's good but could use and update as a product
It's a good toy but it's kinda hard to tell where the legs are actually supposed to go and it's very easy to take apart my son pulls it and it comes apart. Says it's supposed to snap but never heard it as I put it together. Overall it's still good

Wonderful All Season Toy
A barbq pit just like dad’s but for the little toddler in your life. This was the perfect addition to our summer toys and will be used through out the year. MY most favorite feature is the tongs. They’re just right for little hands. They’re durable. It can get bent open as wide as possible and still return back to original form. As a mother of curious toddlers, my little ones always try to partake in dinner prep/ cooking and run off with my tongs, so these are PERFECT for my household. You get a wide assortment of food to go along with it, which is much appreciated!! Sometimes you have to purchase the items separately. I was able to purchase on a sale. Which made the purchase that much more tempting! I do not regret this purchase, at all! We used to be a Fisher Price family, but Little Tikes has had exactly what I’ve looked for for my children, at an affordable price! My son had the BIGGEST grin opening and playing with it. One happy little one here!
