Great seat.

I have Crohn's disease which causes pressure in my digestive tract. This saddle chair allows me to sit with my legs down and to the sides which reduces that pressure. Just a note, my chair arrived with the seat pads positioned very close to each other. I used an allen wrench to loosen the 4 bolts and spread the seat pads out to the widest position which I prefer. The seat is very firm which I don't mind.

Extraordinarily firm

It's... it's a nice chair, *but* it's *extremely* firm. Like, I'm 275lbs, and me sitting on it doesn't seem to compress the foam *at all*. I like that the seat is split, so my tailbone and crotch are spared the offenses subjected to them by non-split saddles. But it's also just painfully uncomfortable, from the first moment you sit on it. Adjusting yourself can help some, but there's really no getting around the fact that this chair is actively hostile to humans. Maybe it will work for you if you are as light as a feather and enjoy straddling concrete. If you're heavy, ignore the "600lb" limit, because you will not enjoy this chair. I also doubt the 600lb limit, because I have other chairs with lower limits that have MUCH beefier bases. Another issue may just be that I am quite a bit wider than the chair, which means that my weight is not being well-distributed across it. I have wide hips (wide everything; I'm a double-wide shoe and my head was so big that the high-school football team had to custom-order a helmet), so I'm well beyond the bounds of the seat in every direction. So again: if you are not a small person, this is probably not the chair for you. Also worth noting: it was packaged haphazardly. Pieces were thrown into the box without care, the box was damaged and holed (often substantially) throughout, etc. EDIT: My parents tried it out, too; and they *also* think this is the most-uncomfortable chair ever designed.
