Perfect Compact Radio for Business

While I cannot comment on the durability of these radios, I can tell you that if you have been using the FRS GMRS ratios and are disappointed in the range and clarity then you should try these radios! These radios have only 2 dials - volume and channel and 3 buttons - talk monitor and scan. No screens to break, no wrong buttons to press - SIMPLE! It speaks the channel to you so you never need to look at the radio. EZ. We use these on a 66 acre event facility and we could not be more pleased. We looked at the BR400 but we chose these for all of the reasons just mentioned. Range is outstanding, clarity is amazing and the windows software allows you to configure every channel with your own privacy code. YES you need to get an FCC license but its $70 for 10 years. Priceless!

Don't listen to others buy these guys

I use them at work we bought 10 of these guys and the shoulder mics to go with and they are loud and the only problem we got is the clips but over all great range and a great buy. We use them for landscaping mowing and ect and we love them.

Wanted to use but were not compatible with Motorola RDX Series

Purchased 2. Radios worked between the same model. Tried to use them with Motorola RDX radios and it was a no go. The sound from the BR200 to the RDX was hi/low volume oscillating. Contacted Midland and they advised these are not compatible with RDX Motorola models. Something about the circuitry in the Motorola Radio and the way they transmit isn't compatible with these. The tech even said "the volume on the RDX will fluctuate up and down". Sad I had to return them as they were good quality, rugged, tiny, fun to use.

Stop spending too much money on Motorola

These Radio are absolutely amazing!!!! I would give them 6 stars if it was available!! They are very loud, clear, and light weight. They seem to be very durable and look like they could take a lot of abuse. I like when you select the channel it tells you what channel you’re on. I plan on buying 4 more of them and the multi-charger.

Tough radio.

Excellent range of over a mile. Good quality audio. Battery life is excellent... Stand-by life of almost 48 hours. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. I've dropped it several times and it's still working great.

These do not hold up!

These radios did not last more than 6 months. The antennas broke off, the belt clips, too. Reception was not good and a few of the cases cracked. Midland would not honor their one year warranty because they said they showed signs of heavy use. These were used in a warehouse. Sometimes they got dropped. I had purchased the additional insurance through Amazon from Asurion. They turned down our claim because they "do not cover commercial use." Who buys 6 two-way radios and charging base for use at home? Of course they are used in businesses. Don't be fooled by Amazon and their deal with Asurion. They do not hold up to their claims.
