Works as expected, a little low

Works well and as expected. Lowers a bit (like a spring) when you sit in it, so the max seat height is a bit lower than I expected. Missing hardware but I had some spare bolts in the garage. Overall, comfortable and solid for the discounted price of $80. Would not pay over $100.

Decent chair with a few small quirks

The chair came professionally packed in a large box, and the only complaint I have is styrofoam blocks were used for packing and little chunks of it get absolutely everywhere. So plan to vacuum after you're done. For the chair itself, assembly was very easy and straightforward with the instructions provided. You're required to use 4 screws to screw into the bottom of the chair to mount the plastic cover. There are not predrilled holes, so I used my handheld drill to help make that easier. I could see it being a pain to do with a manual screwdriver. The seat is definitely a little shallow. I'm 6" and 160lbs, so a very normal size, and I think if the seat was a little deeper it would be more comfortable. I have no problems with getting the foot ring to stay in place, but it is small and basically the only way to rest my feet on it is if I hook the heels of my shoe onto it. Other than that it requires you to have your feet almost directly underneath your but to use the foot rest, which is not a comfortable or ergonomic position. With all that said, I'm confident in giving it a solid 4 stars. Not quite a 5 because of the seat being a little shallow and the small footrest. It's comfortable if you have somewhere other than the ring to rest your feet, and I like how the arms swing up out of the way. Also looks nice and the parts seem to be quality that will hold up for a lot of normal use. EDIT: a couple months later and I wanted to update my review. This chair is extremely uncomfortable because of the footrest not being large enough. I have to tuck my legs up under the chair to get my feet on the footrest, and then hook the heels of my shoe on it. Needless to say it's REALLY uncomfortable and not ergonomic at all. For this, I've changed my review to 3 stars because it's so annoying and uncomfortable I find myself rarely using the chair and just standing up instead. That is my only complaint though, and it seems to be a very common problem among these "drafting chairs". You would think that someone would get it right and make the footrest 3-5" larger in diameter.

Nice chair for the price tag.

Obviously this isn't another steelcase or herman miller chair. But it looks better than many of the other office chairs on Amazon. The upper part of the chair looks pretty elegant and comfortable. The base takes a very rugged form, it feels a bit alienated, and not matching to the rest of chair. It feels pretty comfortable to sit on the chair. I am paring it with my standing desk and it has been great so far. Bottom line, there are definitely better chair out there. But this maybe the best bang for the buck.

The hit of the office

We have 5 of the drafting chairs in a conference room that has standing height tables. In short EVERYONE wants to book this conference room now!. The original idea was that some employees like to stand during meetings. After an hour or more of standing, people eventually want to sit down. It is a small room, so I like that the mid height back is mesh so that it visually makes the room look more open. Also, the fact that the arms flip up allows us to push them all the way in under the tables. The casters roll very smoothly and the seats swivel nicely. The seats are very well padded, comfortable for smaller and larger folks alike. I assembled all 5 chairs by myself with no problem.

Not for large frame person.

I decided to take another chance and buy something used again from Amazon. It looked like No one open it and make sure everything was in there before passing it on to the next buyer. Everything was loose in the box. When first we tried to assemble it, we could tell somethings were missing but because NO instructions came in the box, we didn’t know what. I had to contact manufacturer and have them e-mail it to me. Finally found out it was missing some nuts and bolts so because it was something easy to remedy, we went to Lowe’s and got them. Finally got assembled and it was uncomfortable. I’m not sure if this chair might be okay for a thin person but has far as Overweight or large frame person, it is not. The mesh is too far out and the seat does not go forward. So you never get to fully sit back. Since the reason I wanted a tall chair in the first place was so I wouldn’t have to keep switching positions Of my makeshift stand up desk for work at home, I have two monitors I keep one low and one high so I can switch from standing to sitting but the problem is once I decide to sit in my really crappy office chair, the back pains start, I decided to keep it and force my self to stand the majority of the time. I am even thinking about cutting out the mesh so I can sit back from when it no longer works just to sit uncomfortable in the chair. As far as the quality I guess it was okay for the price, but not the best.

Best office chair of century!!

I absolutely love this chair. Two of my co workers sat in my chair and ordered one as well. This chair has so many levels you can adjust too. When I am at my desk I have the chair lowered, whereas when I am at my podium I have it adjusted at the highest. The chair also has a foot rest which is really comfortable when I have it in the highest position. Five star chair.
