The Chosen One/Testimony

Maternity leave 2/1/21 - 4/26/21 My baby girl is 2 months old. We introduced bottle feeding at roughly 4wks. We got about a good 4-5 feedings in with Tommee Tippee before my MIL forced a pacifier in her mouth on 3/18. After that, my daughter didn’t want ANYTHING other than my breast. We literally went through 10 different bottles. (Tommee Tippee, Nanobebe, Bare, MAM, Nuk, Dr. Brown’s, Comotomo, Playtex, Avent and Lansinoh) I ordered the Munchkin Latch the morning of 4/12. On 4/13 my daughter started daycare (test run). The staff knew she wasn’t taking a bottle and offered to help with the transition. So I sent every bottle with her. The Munchkin Latch came early after on 4/13. That evening after holding her close to my breast (like she was about to be breastfed, SHE LATCHED on to the bottle, didn’t drink anything but she latched)!!!!! 4/14 I sent the bottle to daycare with my daughter. She didn’t take the first feeding so I had to drive to the daycare to nurse her. The 2nd feeding, SHE DRUNK 2oz. That evening and to the morning of 4/15...she did every feeding via bottle!!! I was so focused on finding one “like a breast” that I didn’t pay attention to the form of her mouth when she latches. The Munchkin Latch saved me!!! I’m definitely confident going back to work now.

Infant didn't like it

We went through a stage where my new born/infant was having a hard time latching to certain types of bottle nipples. I tried this bottle, among many others, with hopes that it would be a great match. My daughter seemed to have a tough time latching on with the wider set nipples (the more narrow nipples were what she did the best with) so this one was a bust for us. The bottle itself seemed sturdy, was easy to clean, and I appreciated the anti-colic feature and flexibility with the nipple. I had high hopes for this bottle to work well as the reviews seemed promising but I know all babies are different. This one just didn't work for us, personally.

Best bottles!

I have been hunting like a crazy person for the perfect bottle. I’ve tried probably around 10 different ones in the last couple weeks. THIS is the one I have settled on. My most favorite thing about it is the clearly printed measurements on the side. They are printed in dark orange and are the easiest to see out of all the bottles I’ve tried. Lots of bottles have blue or white (WHY would they use white?!), but the orange really has the best visibility through all hours of the day and night. The vent works fantastically. The nipple has never collapsed, which makes me and baby both much happier. The vent also doesn’t leak like some others I’ve tried with a bottom vent. To keep it from leaking, just make sure it is pushed all the way in so the bottom is flush with the bottle. It comes with a level 1 nipple, which is too slow for my 3 month old, so I ordered the level 2 and they’re perfect! They are a great size and shape, allowing for a really good wide latch. Make sure when you open the package, you open ALL of it. There is a sealing disc in the very bottom of the packaging (under a little cardboard flap with the manual thing). I totally would have tossed it if one of my older daughters hadn’t grabbed the box and shook it around playing with it. I’m glad I found it though! It works great at keeping the bottle sealed and spill-free in my bag. (Pictured) I also noticed some reviews talking about the markings coming off in the dishwasher. I want to note that I wash by hand and then use a microwave sterilizer every couple days. I’ve never put them in the dishwasher, and they hold up perfectly I added lots of pictures because I love when reviews have pictures, so there ya go! I’ve returned almost all the other bottles I tried and am stocking up on these.

If you baby likes the nipple shape, this can be a great bottle because the vent system is the best on this bottle

The only bottle my baby uses

I breast feed most of the time because I wfh but when I leave the house for meetings and such my baby has to use a bottle. She HATED and refused to take any other bottles but this one she eats from every time! I feel like the nipple on it reminds her of the breast. 10/10 would recommend.

Godsend

I don't write reviews often but this bottle was a lifesaver. I really want other mommies to know how much it helps us. I don't understand how it doesn't have all 5-star reviews. With my 6-week-old exclusively breastfed baby with reflux and gas issues this bottle is working great for us. We tried Medela calma, Phillips Avent with natural flow nipple, Dr Browns with level 1, and Tommy Tippee. She wouldn't take any bottles in trying to get her ready for me going back to work. This is the only one she would take, and I can see why. The nipple isn't super long and the base part that touches her mouth is wide and super soft like a boobie. It's a vented system to reduce air ingestion/fussiness and has only the usual number parts to clean unlike the Dr Brown. The size 1 nipple keeps her from drinking too fast which would exacerbate her reflux. Re:paced feedings and making her take breaks. She gets mad when you take the bottle out but with this bottle even when we leave it in her mouth she does great. No coughing or gagging like she's choking like she does with other nipples. Even in her mouth and with her pretty much eating or nibbling non-stop, it takes 15 minutes for her to finish the bottle. Again, good for keeping her interested in breastfeeding because slow flow and good for reflux so she doesn't get too full before her mind realizes it causing her to spit-up/reflux. We're so grateful for this bottle. I was worried she was going to starve herself all day and do reverse cycling (nursing all evening/night when I'm home instead of eating during day).

Great bottle. Too fast for newborn. Spits up way too much

I wanted to love this bottle. I’ve tried 6 different breast friendly bottles and the nipple on this is the best as it compresses and forces baby to open wide which was why I bought (having hard time with latch) but after two days I have to put it on the back shelf for now. She spits up each time I burp her. Even with paced feeding. She is just spitting up way too much. We will stick with como tomo for now. Never spits up with Tomo as I think flow is slower. Her latch with the tomo is so shallow though. I can’t win!

Someone recommended I try this as they had the same problem ...

Lovely natural feel bottle. Nothing wrong no with it at all. I bought it as my 4 month old who is EBF won’t take a bottle. Someone recommended I try this as they had the same problem with their little one and they took this bottle for them. Unfortunately it didn’t work for us and it’s just another one to add to the list of unsuccessful bottles hence my 2 stars. Just not the bottle for my little one.

De calidad pero no lo volvería a comprar

A lo mejor es cosa de mi hija pero con estos biberones no puede tomar la leche porque la mamila se le hunde. Compré tetinas de agujero más.grande para saber si ese era el problema y me pasa lo mismo así que no los puedo usar. El biberón en sí está bien. Se ve bueno pero el sistema anticolico este que tiene a mi hija no le funciona.

Chupon se sume

Podría ser un buen producto quizás lo malo es que mi bebe estaba ya acostumbrado a chipones más duros y este chupon se sume al tomar cada onza y media lo que es bastante incómodo estar abriendo el biberón para que salga el aire
