Another solid winner from Nautica

This jacket look even better in real life than in the stock picture. It's definitely a jacket dress to impress. The color is rich and deep, the texture look really smooth and polish and the material look really upscale. I carefully inspected the stitching, buttons and pockets lining and every little detail is perfect. My skin has always been sensitive to wool and it was my neck area itches a little the first day or two but now I get used to it. It's a heavy jacket so it's really warm and I like that I can cover my neck area unlike other men's over coat that I have. It's a heavy jacket so it keeps me warm even when temperature was 31 degrees the other day and windy. But it's not overly heavy like my other full length overcoats. And because it is not a full length coat it makes it much easier to get in and out of cars. This high quality coat definitely does the Nautica name justice and I am really glad I paid a little more for this coat than other brand that I was considering. It's definitely worth the money and I trust that it will serve me well for many years to come.

Nice Affordable Peacoat (with a couple of caveats)

Ordered two sizes for my son. He's 5'11" and weighs 150. He preferred to keep the size small. He likes things more fitted. This is a nice well made peacoat. It is not super heavy, but surprisingly warm with quilting inside. There were two things I did not like about it. First, the buttons did not have anchors. But, that's a small thing. What really bothered me was that there was an obvious mistake in the construction/finishing of this coat. You should be able to wear the coat fully buttoned and the collar flipped up in back. But, if you flip up the collar on this coat, there is a band of interfacing (material that gives body and rigidity to garments, as in collars and plackets) that is exposed. This material should only be on the inside of the garment, not visible. Its a strip of grey material with dark blue dots. This doesn't make sense at all and must be a mistake. BUT, he loved the coat and the fit, so lucky I can sew. It's a black coat, so I pieced in a strip of black wool felt and now you would never know how it was originally. Take this into consideration if you want to flip your collar up.

Great Coat

Great coat at a great price. I read some one-star reviews that said the coat was not heavy enough for their Northeast winters. OK, so buy the US Navy peacoat for twice the price. I did, and it was too heavy for my mid-atlantic region, for which this coat is perfect. I don't think it's fair to give one star just because the weight doesn't meet your conditions. It says nothing of the quality of the coat, which is superb and JUST what I was looking for.

Classy coat

Ordered this to use for an outdoor Christmas party. Unfortunately it arrived two days later than the party which was my fault for delaying the order. I have used it many times since though. Great for formal events or daily use. Had a great snow day with the family and it kept me warm and dry.

Fit great and came just in time.

My son purchased this before a family dinner on Christmas Eve this past year. He ordered it on Monday, he needed it before Saturday night. Luckily it came Saturday during the day, due to the fact this was during the craze of the holiday season that was very impressive. UPS, USPS, FedEx workers we thank you for all the hours you put in over the holidays to make our seasons so special. Now for the fit, my son is a distance runner (I could never) and he has a small build, 5'7" and about 145 lb. He trepidatiously ordered a small, he need this to go over a suit he was wearing for a fancy dinner. And when it arrived he discovered...IT FIT GREAT! He looks a little thick with it over his suit but then again that is about three to four layers of thick clothing. Wearing it without a suit and just a classier coat looks so good on him and he really is so pleased with his purchase. Remember people every body is different but this is how it worked for him!

Not bad for the money.

So this jacket is a modern slimmer cut interpretation of the classic pea coat. Where a traditional pea coat is large and boxy in order to fit over several layers, this coat fits more like a sportcoat. I'm 6'1", 196 lbs. I wear a 44R suit coat with 34W pants. I wanted a slimmer fitting pea coat for the less chilly days when a t-shirt or button down was being worn. This coat sizing is perfect for that. Shoulder seams fall perfectly and it is just roomy enough through the waist. If I wanted to wear a sweater or layer thicker clothing, this would be too tight and I would wear a traditional cut pea coat. Length is on par with the length you would find on a suit or sport jacket. The material is a softer, lighter weight, tighter woven fabric. Again warm enough for cool days, probably want something heavier if your in a colder climate or just don't tolerate cold very well. The underside of the collar has a bit of the same material used to line the jacket sewn in as a contrast. Not sure whether I like it or not, but this is a design choice and is only seen if you pop the collar to seal up your neck. Now as others have mentioned the quality control is a little off. The right side lower buttons are sewn through to the inside causing and odd constriction near the pocket. It is not sewn through the pocket and is easily remedied by removing the thread and restitching the buttons. For $80 or less, I feel this is a good coat that can have the minor QC issues easily remedied. For any higher cost or for a true original sizing or warmth level, keep looking. I already own a traditional cut wool pea coat, so this fit my needs at a reasonable price point. I would recommend this coat to others with the same needs as I.

Beautiful, true-to-fit coat.

Very happy with this purchase. The coat has a quality feel and a sharp look. It's a bit thin for the dead of winter on its own, but with some layers underneath it will keep you warm and cozy all season long.

Large means VERY LARGE

It's a nice coat, but according to the manufacturer's size chart (I went out of my way to verify it with them), my husband should fit a large. He is a large to extra large usually. This large is really large. Unfortunately, I won't know until Christmas if it fits or not, and by then it will be too late to return. Kind of regretting keeping it. Should have just sent it back and ordered something else to be safe. Though it looks warm enough for winter if anyone is wondering about that.

Good coat! Lovely material, but...

One of the buttons came undone soon after I started using it for two weeks. And they were used sparingly. Other than that, it fit as expected and is good for mild winters and fall.

Stunning classic quality pea jacket excellent value

This pea jacket is gorgeous. I ordered it for my boyfriend who is 5’6” and 140 lb. Size small is perfect. It has a really classic look with would go with jeans or dress casual. The ink colour is very beautiful. Really impressed with the quality too. Great value for this brand.
