*** UPDATE *** I’ve changed my opinion to REALLY DON’T BUY THIS GARBAGE!!!!!! Thought negative reviews were due to not washing properly, but now I see I was wrong on that judgement. Mine is 6m and it’s horrible!!!!! Have the high end direct drive Samsung washer and dryer, so it’s getting the best wash possible. With the direct drive the drum doesn’t vibrate around. ONLY washed it in cold on the bedding cycle, which is uber gentle. Drying is time dry, 20 minute intervals, remove and adjust to make sure it’s getting better circulation. Typically at extra low or low heat. NEVER on anything above low, and never washed in anything except cold. Breathing on it would be hotter. It’s faded so bad, and now the batting has somehow dissolved! Can’t figure that one out… I’m DONE with Nautica. Love(d) their products for decades, and the best designs IMO, but I can’t justify spending $100 every 6 months for garbage like this. Technically it would be darn near every 4m to keep a good looking comforter. Obviously you don’t wash the shams as much, or ever, and they look like brand new, and ridiculous!!! … Oh yeah, no matter what I did it would come out wrinkled! Queen was less than 3/4 of the machine, and the king is about 3/4, so theres no stuffing issues. Have a generic from Walmart that goes in a duvet, and it comes out perfect every time. It also hangs perfect as a comforter should. Sad I’ve had it for years, and it’s Walmart, not a high end brand. ** ORIGINAL ** I bought the queen first, but pictured you can see it was SO short. That was on a non-pillow top. Gave that one away. Couldn’t imagine how it would have hung I have purchased Nautica bedding for a LONG time. I love the look, feel and quality! Ordered the Bradford collection based on the display picture. I factored in my past comforter purchases, but when I received the comforter I was really disappointed to see how short it is! Nautica says 86”, but it’s 80-81” max! It hangs to the exact same spot as when I purchased it. Brand new Samsung washer and dryer, only wash on bedding cycle cold, and then used delicate which is extra low. Nautica recommends low, but I want it to last longer. So I have not shrank it. Extra Low is basically like you blowing hot hair. Those pictures are straight out of the box, onto the bed. Don’t have a pillow top, so it’s not loosing length because of that. Didn’t have time until now to complain, so now I can’t return it, and Nautica won’t do anything… Basically I have to purchase ANOTHER set in King just to get a proper length. That’s my fault for not communicating sooner, but I’m really disappointed and angry with the misleading picture, and the actual length of the comforter. That extra 5-6” could make a little bit of a difference. If you have a partner you sleep with… Just say NO! You will both fight over it all night long. Go with a KING. Seriously, I would have gave it 5 starts across the board. I read peoples posts about quality, but it’s all in the way you handle it. Use normal heat you’re gonna melt the interior fabric.
