Lubricate first!!!

The shackle appears solid and the extra keys is a nice bonus. However, this came without any lubrication whatsoever. The mechanism are a bit rough. Need to lubricate it first before use. Also, the manual recommends lubricating with WD-40. This is not a good idea. WD-40 is not a good lubricant (if it can be called that at all). It will also attract dirt. Locks like this should be lubricated with a dry lube. I personally used the same dry lube I use on bike chains and that helps to loosen up the mechanism somewhat. I also feel that it needs time to break in as the mechanism does stick at times. I almost feel like I need to sit down and go through the lock/unlock motions a few thousand times to smooth out the rough edges in the machined parts. I think I read some reviewers (not here) mentioned that the mounting is awkward. This is not true. If one were to read the manual that came with it (it's only 1 page), one would be able to see that the attachment piece on the shackle can be twisted to accommodate different mounting positions. Overall, this is a solid shackle.

Easy to lock and really sturd

The think I most like of this lock is that is so light and easy to lock but still really sturdy. I'm really happy with that and I can only recommend.

ok so far but a bit of rust appearing after 2 months

ok so far, bike has not been stolen, however it is starting to develop some rust in the closure because water can get it when it rains, need to put some oil in it to prevent rust.

Very sturdy. Easy locking action. Good bike mount.
