Just Right! Size, Price, Quality

We bought this to take on Snowmobiling runs and Vintage shows when there isn't a restaurant/pub. It's the perfect size for a couple of beverages, snacks, water bottles (stainless steel) in the side pockets. The front pockets holds key, kleenex and IDs. perfect!

Doesn't leak

We have used this all of four times so far. The problem I have faced with other soft sided coolers is they leak. So far I haven't had that problem with this but I also have not used just ice. I purchased the flexibility freeze reusable ice sheets. I don't feel the cold while wearing the backpack with is nice too. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because the lining inside the cooler looks like it will tear at any moment. It does not feel very sturdy. You can pull it inside out to wipe it out but it doesn't fell like it will last a really long time. For now it is holding up and gets the job done. We use it for trips to the park, zoo and museum.

Smaller than expected.

I was expecting a much larger back pack. Similar in size to a back pack for school books. The size is much smaller. The quality appears to be good. I've not tried it but will update this review as soon as I start using it. Just got back from Vegas 9/29/2014 and used the cooler extensively. Initially I was disappointed with the size, but any bigger it would be too heavy. It held twelve cans of beer, water and soda with ice and kept them cold. The cooler did not leak any water but did have to empty the water periodically. If you tip the cooler on its side, it will leak from the top. I would recommend blue ice instead of regular ice.

Torn liner seam, but after pretty serious use

Bought this bag for an international vacation involving lots of hiking and beach days, and it did its job pretty well for the price. By the end of the 2-week trip the top seam of the liner had detached, but in fairness that was after being carried probably 10-15 miles total while fully loaded with ice and drinks. As far as I can tell, the main body of the liner Is still intact. I think this is a decent product, and there aren't a lot of similar alternatives. For a less intense purpose, like the occasional hike or picnic, I could easily see this bag lasting a year or two.

Fantatic insulated bag

We looked for an insulated back pack to use at Disney World. This was a great value and did the job admirably. It was in the high nineties at Orlando and the bag kept food and water cold all day. As with any such backpack the zipper is not water proof, so don't bend over unless you want a icy bath. That's not a problem as long as you remember and is not a design flaw. It is quite roomy, sot it will hold many water bottles, but also get heavy. However, the easily adjustable straps make it esay to balance the load and avoid sore shoulders as the straps are padded. We looked at several other possibilities and chose this one for price, style, color, and other reviews. It's a great value!

Great purchase

I bought this backpack for a trip to Disney World. It was perfect! Even in very hot and humid August, it managed to keep water bottles with water and ice cold (ice didn't melt!) Keep in mind I did not put ice into the backpack this was just with the insulation alone. This is now my go to for any travel type cooler needs. As for quality, it's held up great so far :)

Love it!

I normally have to try to fit a small cooler bag into my backpack which always ends up being awkward. This is perfect for when we take our lunch with us to the park or the beach! There are also some outside pockets that fit things like my phone, wallet and a few spare diapers and wipes for my youngest. It's also very comfortable to wear!

Exactly What I Needed!

I have recently gone alcohol-free and needed a cooler-backpack ASAP to take with me to this year's Calgary Stampede so that I could have AF beer on hand if I felt tempted. I needed one that wasn't too big, that didn't obviously look like a cooler, that kept things extremely cold - even in hot weather, that had other pockets, and that didn't leak. Oh, and that could be delivered to me quickly! This had all those things, and arrived a day early! First, I took it to the lake in 30deg heat and after a few hours, my beer/water was still very cold. The ice was still there - mostly melted, but still there. When I emptied it that evening, I realized there was some water in the cooler, and I didn't even realize it because it did not leak. Yesterday, I took it to the Calgary Stampede (that's the photo of it in the chair next to me at the rodeo) for 8 hours of 32 deg heat. Even at the end of the day, I grabbed a very cold bottle of water out of it. And again, there was about 2" of water in the cooler, and I didn't even know until I went to empty it. I fit 6 cans of beer and a couple bottles of water, plus a few snacks and of course, some ziploc bags of ice. It was a bit heavy, but definitely manageable. I had a pocket for my car keys, phone, etc. And another for my vaccination papers, plus side pockets for other things. I don't write reviews often (if ever), but wanted to share that this cooler-backpack was perfect! I highly recommend it. (great price too!)

this is not the backpack you receive when ordering! I even ordered a replacement and still got a different thing. This one has no cords on the front, is pure black, and has a mesh top compartment with cooler underneath.
