Not as good as some brands, difficult to install, but seem to not leak

I thought a brand name like Orbit would be good. I have some of their timers, and Orbit is my absolute favorite timer setup. But these tees were just difficult to install in the lines. For connectors, I will return to the DIG brand, which I find easy to install, are more streamlined (for getting through tight spaces) and cost about the same.

First T-joint to hold for me!

I have tried the typical compression T joints for 1/2 drip irrigation tubing from my local hardware stores and they just blow off with the water pressure. This one works fantastic! Just push your drip irrigation tubing (yes, the tubing from the local hardware store) and push it in hard --- all the way. Then turn that water on and it holds perfectly. I personally don't care if it won't come off easily as written in other reviews because if it can remove easily my water pressure will blow it off like all the other t-joints I tried. This is the only drip connector I will ever buy again.

Ease of installation

I needed to have a way to attach two 1/2" irrigation pipes to each other and install the piece that would attach to my hose. I cut a short piece of 1/2" pipe and connected the hose attachment to the two pieces, and voila, it worked.

Worked great for me

I was worried this would not work with my existing system, which is 10 years old and has grown slightly stiff and difficult to modify. I also wasn't sure exactly what size the tubing is. I have some 1/2", some 5/8" and some flexible supply line. This worked perfectly with everything I had! It installed in seconds, very easily. There were a few drops at first but then the drip stopped. I am very happy with it.

Harder than it should be to disconnect.

A lot of effort is needed to disconnect once connection is made. I am not sure if this intentional. I did not know that there are screw type T connectors for 1/2in tape. Now that I found out, I will be buying those instead of these unless magically, these are made easier to disconnect and still function well. Disconnect issue makes this only a 3 star item for me.

My go to T connector forever!

The media could not be loaded. OH MY GOODNESS, what a breeze to use this! My go to T connector forever! I struggled with the compression connector, my arthritic hands lacked the strength to push the 1/2" poly hose and I had to do it 3 times?! Please see accompanying video, it is so easy to connect and disconnect. Love it!

Easy; no drips

It was so much easy to put on than other brands. The tubes just slip right in. no heating, no struggles. In fact it was so easy I was skeptable that they would not leak--but it did not leak at all!

Labeled 1/2 inch but not half inch.

If you’re trying to use these with blu lock half inch line then forget about it. If you’re trying to use these with pex or anything else really then I’d say forget about it. They don’t fit anything I’ve found and are definitely not sized correctly.
