Thumb immoblizer
It did not work very well for me. It got dirty fast since I use my hands doing dirty work. The plastic cone that holds the thumb stable would work well for someone that does not use their thumb like an auto mechanic. it has good qualities but it was not for me.

design is wrong
I really tried to like this OTC Thumb Immobilizer, but after wearing it on and off for a week or so I found that a pretty hard piece of plastic that goes over the thumb makes it much too uncomfortable to wear for any length of time. I tried to bend it to follow the curvature of my thumb but it was unbendable, so it continued to dig into my thumb and right below the first finger knuckle. It is well made and other than the plastic piece the velcro closures worked well and held it on securely.

Just so-so
In my particular case this immobilizer does not help a whole lot. I suspect that I need complete immobilization because the thumb joint is quite degenerated. This splint is nice in that it is lightweight and cooler to wear. I think I would appreciate them making it in the color black. White is difficult to keep clean.

Sent me the wrong item
I ordered an extra large right handed but it fits just fine on my left hand will not work on the right. Unfortunately it’s not worth the hassle to return and I don’t trust them to send a correct one for the price. Instructions are just not there really complicated to figure out. Box was marked right handed but it looked old as in a tarnished label.

Rubs the thumb raw
Works well, but in the crease of your thumb it rubs it raw and creates a blister if you wear if for a long period of time. it works well and I like the way it fits, but it is just hard on the skin.

Material too stiff.
If you need a brace to wear for maybe an hour this will work fine but the material is to stiff and cuts into my thumb. I wear a brace for 12 hrs. This doesn't work.

Not So Useful Product
Could not get it to work.Had to get another one with a different brand from my doctor's office.
