Space Age technology for your kitchen!

…It Colands(?) stuff well… Seriously, it’s a great size, being a bit taller rather than wider, and therefore fits in my sink better. The metal portions, as expected, take the heat well, but the exterior base isn’t all metal construction having, what seems to be, silicone coverings on the “legs”. It’s not really an issue, but I frequently work between my stove and sink, placing the colander on the burner.

This is the highest rated strainer among Amazon users for good reasons: . 1. It is sturdy and durable. The metal thickness is 50% more than competing brands. 2. The plastic handles insulates the user's hands from hot temperatures. 3. The design is ideal. The circumference is not too wide. The depth is deep for holding large amounts of contents. 4. There are enough holes to drain water fast. . The only problem is an accompanying metal bowel.

Kinda ugly

Surprised at how dull the surface of this strainer is....it's not shiny as in product listing photo. Also, water (after washing and rinsing) leaves spots which are not easy to remove unless buffed out with towel. May return it because it already looks years old (and ugly).

Well made and functional

I've been meaning to change out my plastic colander to a stainless steal one so I was glad to find this one. It's nice! Pretty and useful. Rubbery handles help to get solid hold. Rubbery stand legs help to get stable, secureplacement on counter and helps protects counter and sink from getting scratched by the steel and also helps elevate the strainer directly off mixing bowels for better draining. Lots of small holes to drain veggies, pasta, etc quickly. Appears to be made of durable quality stainless steel. Large useful size. Dishwashable. Only thing, lots of little holes to clean so can take time to get completely clean.

nice thick material, sturdy

I hate cheap colanders. either they're the wire mesh that deforms easily, or they're plastic with slots that break after a while, or they're SUPER THIN spun aluminum that dents easily. This is a really sturdy, and large colander that will be able to handle just about anything you can need for the kitchen. I really like the OXO signature grip material. They are comfortable and durable. if you're tired of getting new cheap colanders to replace the last cheap colander, then you're ready for one of these. :)

I absolutely love ANYTHING made by the brand OXO Good Grips! So I knew I would love this stainless steel strainer too! This brand makes amazing quality items! They will last you forever! This strainer is so easy to clean, & stands easily on its own so you don’t have to try & hold it while holding a pot too! I highly recommend this strainer! If you are thinking about purchasing, do it! You will NOT be disappointed!
