Ease of use
It had a few drawbacks vs the older model no longer available. You need a magnifying glass to follow the instructions. I used my original step length but the newer model made it look like I walked farther, so I had to adjust it to get closer to correct step length. Also, to see your daily numbers, you need to figure out which step number to click on. Like I said, I like ease of use and having to jump through extra hoops is annoying to me. I gave it 4 stars because it was the "best" to use without relying on an app or phone.

accuracy depends greatly on how you wear it
I previously wrote a review and gave this 1 star, however after play around with it i discovered why it wasn't very accurate. I generally like to place my pedometer in my pocket, but when I put this one in my pocket it was wildly inaccurate. However when I used the clip on holder and put it on my belt, the pedometer worked well. The clip on lanyard was similarly inaccurate. So if you want to use the holder and clip it to your waist, this pedometer works well, But if you put i in your pocket or use the lanyard it doesn't work well

suprisingly handy.
very handy item for lots of reasons. Though I am not all that mindful of some of the features it offers I do like the simplicity and ease of use it offers. I walk regularily but never really knew how far it was i went until I got this. Anyone who is mindfull of keepping track of distances traveled will appreciate this. Though I am not a fittness person I discovered how handy it could be for Hiking in the mountains. It won't tell where to go orwhere you are but will tell you how far you have gone no matter what conditions. Lugging a pack up the Sierra trails makes you wonder how far have you gone towards where you want to get to. For the price and ease of use it is a good buy and probably would surprise people how much you travel just doing the everyday things.

Get set-up right before starting a cumulative count.
It seems to be extremely accurate and calculates whether I'm holding it in my hand or if it is in my pocket. As just about all of the reviewers wrote, the set-up isn't so straight forward. I didn't find an online manual for this model, but found one which was close. I never could figure out the 12 hour clock set-up, so went with 24 hours (1PM = 13:00) I recommend getting the set-up done right with your customizations before you start a regimen that really counts for a total number of steps over a period of time. PS - I'm on target to accomplish 1.5 million steps within 8 weeks, WooHoo! 600,000 steps in 3 weeks!!!

False Listing; Inaccurate Counter
This device DOES NOT count stairs climbed as promised in the listing heading. It does nothing more than count a stair as just another step. Also, it does not accurately count steps. I positioned the device in 4 different locations on my clothing near my waist - steps were registered in only 1 of the 4 locations, and even then, the count was off. In addition to the above, the device is NOT RETURNABLE! Easy to get a replacement, but I surely don't want another very large, bulky pedometer.

Counts steps when driving and not walking
I have owned this for less than a week. It appeared to me that the step numbers would suddenly increase (more than I believed I was walking) but since I wasn't watching it every second, I figured I was wrong. The real problem however was discovered yesterday when I was wearing it in the car. The number of steps increased over 2000 while I was driving. (I tried taking it off and putting it on the passenger seat on the return trip after I realized there was a problem and the pedometer still gained almost 1500 steps.) This is hugely problematic as now I can't wear it all day and even if I remember to put it on when I head out (on foot) I can't be sure it is accurately counting steps. The price was higher when I purchased this, but even at the lower price, this is too much money to spend on a product that doesn't work as advertised. This manufacturer came highly recommended but in reading some of the reviews (yes, I should have before I bought the product) this doesn't appear to be a faulty pedometer but a problem with the product.

Just what I was looking for
Just what I was looking for. I'm not interested in sharing any of the info needed to use a fitness tracker w/ online app which makes this perfect for me. I did have to search out a video on how to do the initial set up (so I took off 1 star) but once that was done... perfect. Getting 4 more for the "boomers" in the family.

Great Pedometer but Quit Working
I bought two of these, one for me and one for my wife. The one I have is just great; however, the one I gave my wife stopped working properly after only two weeks of use. The bottom half of the screen display quit working making it impossible to program the unit with base line data. I do like the Ozeri concept and motivation this pedometer gives you so I plan to buy my wife another one

A Neat,Top Quality Pedometer.
A well designed, small, neat, thin,unobtrusive device.Can be worn on the belt,in the pocket,or on a lanyard around the neck. The numerals on the displays are ,however,a good size,and easy to read.. Comes with a small ,(you will probably need your reading glasses to read it easily)but comprehensive instruction manual. It is easy to set up from the good ,clear instructions. It is handy to have the time displayed with the step count,to estimate progress toward target total steps,or times etc. A really versatile, good quality little Pedometer that should easily meet all your requirements, with the many useful features. I have purchased Ozeri technical equipment before,and find them to be well designed, good quality,and durable.

Poorly presented product with performance issue
Gave erroneous results unless clipped to clothes. The instructions are poor as printing is very small and faint. Other similar products are better presented and therefore easier to use.

Had a couple of less expensive pedometers that either failed or were inaccurate. This device has a range of features and works perfectly. Will buy one again if/when the need arises.
