This Peakworks V8002000 FBH-10000A Contractor Harness Fall Arresto provides peace of mind when painting/working on my upper stories of my house and it's pretty comfortable, too. First off, you will need some kind of tether to attach to the harness. I got this one but there are many on the market and you need to select the kind that best suits the environment it will be used in. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01HJFTHU2 Next, you should understand that this is strictly for stopping a fall and absorbing and distributing the shock. This harness is not for use with a belay, as in for climbing. The tether clips only onto the back of the harness - not the front. So this harness is highly adjustable and is rated to safely hold up to 400 pounds in a fall situation (person and equipment). It's easy to put on because it's two tone. It has multiple adjustment buckles for a perfect, snug fit. It's designed to be comfortable and it really is. It feels secure with the chest strap. There is an extensive manual included and while it is written for meeting on the job safety requirements, I strongly suggest reading it so you will know how to use this properly and safely. That includes regular inspection of the harness. Additionally there is a fall indicator on the side that alerts you to return to the manufacturer for inspection and repair. I am a homeowner with a 100 year old, multi story home. While it is mostly brick, there are overhanging eaves and other trim that need regular inspection, painting and occasional repairs. I worry when my husband and sons are on ladders and scaffolding because falls from that height could be deadly. This gives me so much peace of mind when they are working that high.

Have not fallen with it yet

This harness fits. I have NOT fallen with it yet, so it is really hard to review something like this. I do like that it is green, my other harness is yellow and this allows me to quickly grab the one I know easily telling the difference between the two. I highly recommend keeping this in a bag or other container (bucket with cover and other fall protection gear) to keep it both clean and away from light. I also highly recommending changing these out every few years even if they have never been used in a fall. (A harness used in a fall is possibly damaged and is usually disposed of. With the easy availability of these and other fall protection gear (anchors, arrestors, etc.) there is no reason for DIYers not to use these either. I highly recommend them for all work above 10'.

Safe, adjustable

This is rear-type harness, it's for catching your fall, and turning you belly down. It's not like for climbing with the loop on the front. Adjustable to tall/short, slender/large. Thick and comfortable straps. I'm not a pro user, but for any kind of work I can think of, this is a good backup. Even if one strap failed (which is really implausible), you'd still be caught.
