Great boots!!

My company installs/removes docks and boat lifts. Over the years I have purchased several boots similar to this to work in the water. We have them on all day everyday. At first view just out of the package, I'm impressed. The sole is more durable than the last boots I was buying and it's a higher neoprene thickness than the others. I ended up buying 6 pairs for myself and my guys to try out. I'll have to get back at you when we actually have tested them but after 25 years of buying water boots these seem to be the best for our application and the cost is right in the ball park.

Just ok

They turned out to be not as durable as I was hoping. These are good for you if you need to wear them occasionally. We have them on all day as we work in the water in 40 degree water temps and above (with water socks). The stitching was starting to come apart after about a 3 week use. I’m hoping it was just a defective pair because I bought about 9 pairs for my workers. The sole of the boot is solid and the neoprene thickness was more than the other boots we’ve used in the past and the price was right. Like I said, hopefully it was just a defective pair.

Definitely not for Surfing...

I completely agree with a previous review someone left about these boots not being suitable for surfing. I'm sure it didn't help that mine were too big. I normally wear a size 8 in women's shoes and ordered a 7. My boots were fine at first when I was on dry land but a few minutes later they filled with water and felt like clown shoes. When I tried to stand up the front of the toe area would buckle under and throw me off balance. The sole is too stiff to be of any use and there's actually too much traction for surf use. I wish I had a camera recording all the surf mishaps that occurred yesterday morning. I do think these shoes would be great (in the right size) for other water sports such as stand up paddling, boating or walking around any sort of water although I did read that it can be slippery on some surfaces. I will be donating mine to a friend w/the right size feet ;)

Great Boots

Great fitting boot. Pretty true to size (I am a size 7 shoe and bought a size 7 boot). I wear them with thin thin socks to prevent rubbing. The heavier sole (somewhere between a rigid dive boot and a dive sock/fin boot) was perfect for climbing over jagged rocks while getting to the water. They were perfect at filling the foot pocket of my open heel fins. The back was also tall enough (compared to the lower cut boots) to keep the fin strap from rubbing above my heel, while not being nearly as tall as full boots. They kept my feet warm in 80F water for 4-5 hours at a time. I would recommend these to anyone that dives or snorkels a few times a year. Until I see how they wear over time, I cannot honestly recommend (nor NOT recommend) them for more frequent use.

Well-constructed, but wish they had a zipper

These dive boots did the job quite well. Then only reason that I've rated them 4/5 is because they lack a zippered side which makes drying them out a bit more challenging. Anyone who dives knows how smelly these things can get by day three or four of your dive vacation and so being able to give them some air is handy.
