Priced right but poor execution of software and gimmicky build quality.

I am fitbit user and the only reason I bought the watch is for the external heart rate monitor support. Fitbit does not allow this feature. Initial Review. 05 May 2021. Pros: Price. User Interface is easy to learn but has some quirks. Light weight. The watch band is very comfortable. Cons: Screen is poor and visibility is ok. Build quality is ok. Watch looks really cheap . I think Garmin and Fitbit have better build quality. Phone notifications are poor. Some apps like Telegram cannot push to watch. Example, watch will vibrate but with no notification (Telegram) Also if you receive multiple messages , you can ONLY see the last message. Scrolling through previous messages are not possible. Another really annoying quirk: why the extra steps to view notifications. You have to press the back button scroll down to notification and select option to view. Receiving multiple email notifications works and you can scroll through. Polar Flow App is ok. I think this app is way behind Fitbit. In Fitbit app once you open it will automatically sync data from watch. Don't understand why you have to press the back button to sync data from watch to app. The synced data does not match with watch. Example ,when I sync data, the calories burned are different values. The watch indicates a higher value than the synced data on app. I hope the software issues will be fixed in future updates. Further feedback like daily activity tracking and HR Accruacy will be done later. Fitbit daily activity tracking is really good but HR Accruacy for strength training is not.l I used the Polar Verity Sense recently for a few training sessions and compared it with Fitbit. Fitbit always under estimate calories burned. 11.05.2021 Added a star for the following below Battery life 24/7 activity tracking Sleep tracking and nightly recharge provides a lot of information. Cons Accessing notifications still sucks. Polar needs to add a feature to access notifications from the current watch face you are using , rather than pressing the back button and scrolling to notification to view. Screen visibility is poor indoors especially in dim environments. Screen visibility is excellent outdoors. Alarm vibration is very weak.

the watch looks very nice, it is light and does its job, but they should have better the clarity of the screen which is very poor indoors, it's a shame. Otherwise, very intuitive with the app. In fact, it is not how it appears in the promos. Ricardo

Great Battery

The battery life is great. The only time I charge it is to upload it after workouts. I wish it had an option how much brightness you wanted (consistently) instead of pushing the button. Otherwise I am satisfied.

I like this device...

I ordered a polar watch about 5 years ago for fitness. It was a FOSSIL. Outdated, difficult to use--not smart phone friendly. I took a chance on the Polar Vantage M2 after having my old Apple watch for years. I am glad I did. This device is more user friendly. It's stylish--and smart phone friendly. You download the Polar app--and tracking fitness goals is easy. The only complaint I have is that there are too many steps to take when you want to track your workouts. Furthermore, I'd like to see more workouts listed within the workout listing--such as elliptical and stair climbing. If you are a runner, this watch is perfect for you. It's a little tricky to use at the gym, though...when moving from one cardio item to the next. There is an option to track "misc. workouts". However, I do not know how accurate this option is. Overall, I am satisfied. I'd purchase the item again.

Great gps watch

This is a great product, having been on the polar system for a good few years this watch was to replace a v800 which was the top of the range when it came out. You will read every where that the display isn’t bright enough but I honestly don’t know what people are on about as it’s fine, it’s clear to read, even under water. GPS seems to locate in a respectable amount of time and is accurate. Lots of info in this watch and will be more than ample for the majority of people for a lot less than other brands to get similar info. If you were thinking about getting this watch then just do it, you won’t be disappointed. Easily links with Strava, TrainingPeaks etc.

Display viel zu dunkel

Leider ist das Display viiiiel zu dunkel. Dies ist für mich ein absolutes Killerkriterium, sodass ich nicht mal die Funktionalität der Uhr testen wollte. Pluspunkt: die Optik ist ansprechend.

Buen reloj deportivo pero mala pantalla

Llevo unas semanas con él usándolo a diario y mi opinión es: - Batería: Excepcional, dura unos 7 días perfectamente y eso que yo lo uso una hora al día más o menos para monitorizar algún deporte. - Funciones deportivas: Llevo usando Polar muchos años y me encanta en este aspecto, sobre todo lo uso para la bicicleta de montaña y andar. - Materiales: Plásticos malos y correa poco funcional. Lo de la correa lo he solucionado comprando otra pero el reloj al tacto y visualmente se nota que es plasticoso y se ve las uniones. - Pantalla: Aquí el gran problema de este reloj. En los anuncios aparece una gran pantalla a todo color, pero no, la pantalla es pequeña porque tiene un marco desproporcionado. Pero lo que es peor LA PANTALLA NO SE VE BIEN, es tenue. En interiores apenas se ve, algo que ya me esperaba por el tipo de pantalla que es y que no me preocupaba mucho ya que al levantar la muñeca para ver la hora siempre se enciende la luz, pero en exteriores que es donde habitualmente hago deporte ufff... como no le de la luz del sol directamente a la pantalla no se ve absolutamente nada. Por ejemplo cuando monto en bici yo llevo el reloj en el manillar, pues si el sol está detrás mía y mi cuerpo hace sombra sobre el reloj ya no veo nada de la pantalla. Terrible. ¿Lo recomendaría? No, su precio es desproporcionado para las calidades que tiene y lo que es peor NO VES LA PANTALLA.
