easy to install

I had one sliding screen door that I put my finger through the screen at the handle. Installing this was easy and saved me time and money over re-screening the entire door.

Doesn't let the handle sit flush. Have to leave screws lose in order for the latch to work.

The fact that it won't let the latch sit flush. Used it so fingernails wouldn't catch the screen and rip it.

Great protector for around the door handle where I was in one of poked holes through the screen door not the dog.

It Protects

Our back screen door was beginning to start to break up from constant opening and closing. By the way the door is designed, it makes your hand rub against the screen where you grab the door to open it. These protectors are a good way to protect from more screen damage and give the life of the screen door another year or two.

Didn't work for me...

I ordered this because I thought it would hide the ugly rip around the latch & pull on my sliding patio screen door. Interesting concept, but it simply doesn't work with the latch & pull on my screen door, which is Prime-Line A142. Even when snapped together through the screen, it's too thick to use with that latch assembly; plus, it doesn't permit use of the third screw of the assembly, which is essential. I ended up throwing it in the garbage. I'm glad that I didn't waste a whole lot of money on this useless item.

Easy to install

Easy to install I removed the pull handle pressed this in place then reapplied the handle over top. It’s bigger than expected but will protect the screen nicely
