Perfect fit!

Taking in to account the other reviews, I bought one piece to try out. It was a hole for hole match. The mechanism works flawlessly. You need to be aware that there are two versions of this lock that look the same but swing closed in opposite directions. I will be buying a bunch of these now.

This product is OK as a replacement part. The description is missing an important information -- the height of the cam. It has a bigger cam than the one I am replacing. So I have to replace the keeper as well. It is still very tight. Also the pull-in is bigger than mine. It is also missing from the description.

Some stock defective - assembled wrong.

The latch I got is assembled wrong. Handle in closed position with latch fully open. Handle jams if you try to rotate it. Other people have complained about this but recently there have been good reviews. There seems to be a mix of good and bad stock. You are taking a gamble on getting bad product and having to pay for returning it if you order this. Buy it in a physical store where you can open the product before you leave and return it if bad.

Works well as lock.

I used this lock to seal off draft from casement window, the window was slightly warped from sun beating. I say some what worked, but not as much as I expected. However, I stretched functionality beyond it's intention. Otherwise I had no solution. The quality of lock is exceeded my expectation. My purpose was beyond it's means. So I gave 5 stars. It did what supposed to do.

Some stock defective - Incorrectly assembled

Update for 2021 stock : Ordered another latch and it was incorrectly assembled and unusable like the earlier ones. It seems there is a mix of usable and defective stock. First order they were all defective. Reordered later and they were ok. Ordered one more and it was defective. You are taking a chance if you order this item. Might be best to find a store that sells them so you can open the package on checkout. Recently reordered this item. The new latches worked fine so the defective stock mentioned below has been replaced. The mechanism in these locks is assembled backwards so it won't engage the keeper. This is the same problem described on the amazon.com reviews of this product. I had to return all four I ordered. Don't buy them until amazon posts information that they have replaced the defective stock with correctly manufactured product
