works fine. tray does not have much of a lip/edge

This was perfect for my summer picnic. I served a log of cheese rolled in nuts, some cut cheese, along with crackers and it was good for that. The edges do not go up much so do not expect this to hold a lot of volume near the edges or anything watery. It would be super if the lid screwed in to the top even slightly. Ice needs to be just under or level with the top so the tray sits perfectly flat.

Great tray

Bought two sets of these as part of a small buffet table. Placed ice in the plastic bottom tray and sushi on the silver tray.. looked great and kept the food cool for a couple of hours.. it is on the smaller side, which is fine entertaining in an apt.. that’s why I got two sets.

Indispensable

This is the second such platter I bought and I really like these. We also have the Prodyne Dip-on-Ice Stainless-Steel Serving Bowl as well as the Appetizers-On-Ice with Lids. Of all of these, the Platters get the most use. These are especially great for when we have Raclette or Fondue, both meals requiring heating food (cheese, meats) at the table, resulting in a "toasty" temperature at the table. The Platters keep these foods safer longer - the sliced cheese for the Raclette stays firm enough to easily be lifted off and doesn't already melt on the platter. And for fondues, the meats also stay fresh longer. The bowl holds a good amount of ice, and the stainless steel is aesthetically pleasing and food-safe. It simply goes in the dish-washer afterwards. The only thing is that I wish these were bigger or that at least Prodyne would make a bigger version. We have tried the large Prodyne Appetizers-On-Ice but for our purposes the compartments are not large enough to begin with, they are made from plastic, and the triangular shape of the compartments is not conducive to sliced cheese - the large even stainless surface of the platter allows for a lot more food types than the other one. I would buy a large version of this product in a heartbeat.

Great for parties

Very small!

This is very small and looks much bigger on line. I sent it back because it looked cheap and it wasn’t cheap. Useless for more then two person party!

Just what i needed!

It does what I purchased it for - keeps a cold entree or appetizer cold, but available, when needed. I do put a cork plant coaster under it, to ensure wooden tables aren’t affected by the ice packs i use.

Solves the problem of keeping food out, that should remain cold

I like thus plate. I often bring desserts to work. Tgis will cone in handy to serve cheesecake & other items that are going to sit out for awhile. Minus 1 star because i thing it would be nice to have a clear cover over the platter, a locking mechanism, for ease of carrying, an an insulated carrying case with handles for ease of transport. Will also love this for serving cheese
