Almost there... footwear shopping online takes a while...

I really liked these overall. I usually like a higher boot, but the ankle height would work if they fit just a bit better. My size seems to range from 10.5 to 11.5 W. Was hoping 10.5 W would do it. 10.5 wide was still tight for me and my thick instep, though I almost kept them because shopping for boots like this is such a hassle. 11.5 W was not available for exchange, so I eventually sent them back.

Love them

Boots look and feel great, I’ve purchased this same model several times over the years both in dark brown and most recently in black. I like how they wear over time. Only downside is that they will breakdown quickly, a pair with a lot of use will last you 6-7 months.

this boot lasted a good bit, I'm a OTR CDL driver and these have gone some miles Coast to Coast. finally the soles have given up the ghost and wore out. there is little to no arch support, had to out inserts, the laces lasted almost the lifetime of the boots - replaced laces 2 months ago. takes a shine and is a sturdy boot. recommended

Rockport brand continues to impress!

Boots are great. I buy their shoes as well. I'm a car salesman (why are you booing?!) but that means long days on hot pavement miles of walking etc. Oh! I'm also a big fat guy! That's important too. So yeah, big fan of Rockport because these things just eat the abuse and are comfortable as all get out. I'm happy to say the boots live up to the name. I live in Wisconsin so snow is a thing, for sure, but they keep me dry. Definitely comfortable, look nice but not "work boot" vibes. Would reccomend.

I find the black ones more versatile than the tan ones, which seem to be more popular. They were also 70CAD cheaper, so big thumb up from me. I ordered my size based on the length (cm), which I normally do, not the actual size. They fit well, a bit roomy, but in a good way, so I can wear thicker socks, another plus. They look classy with jeans and blazer and comfy for long walks, so overall a great buy at 100CAD

Comfortable and Waterproof

This is my second pair of Rockport XCS's - first ones last five years and while still o.k. - just looking real tired. These are my go to fall/winter/early spring boots and hold up in all weather - snow/ice/rain/slush and resist the salt and sand we use here in our area - and they are waterproof! With a heavier sock I find they are plenty warm but would not recommend for activities like ice fishing and snow mobiliing - these are primarily a walking and "light" hiking boot. Not sure for the money there is a better buy and Rockport have a great reputation for quality and dependability. The outer sole is quite soft so also pretty good on icy driveways and streets. I do recommend the use of Mink Oil or similar - keeps them looking good and helps with the weather proofing.

Satisfied with the boots so far

I have narrow feet and boots are often too wide for me. These boots fit well, although I did add a foam insole as I usually do with most footwear as I like the additional cushioning and a more snug fit. I believe that the width would be fine for most men who have narrower feet. I have not had an opportunity to test how waterproof the boots are yet as the weather, so far, has been dry but I found them comfortable when initially wearing them for a few hours and expect they will feel even more comfortable as they break in more. I ordered them from a Black Friday sale and found the value to be good for that reason. The original price of $175.00 CDN seemed a little high and I held off buying until the price went down.
