Adorable and Great for Sedentary Squirrels. Not sure walking would be entirely without issues due to bulky tail.
Overall, this costume fit my approximately 50 pound Aussie / Boxer (anyone's guess really) mix wonder dog fabulously. The ear holes were a little further apart than her ears. But, she was tolerant of my pulling her cute little tipped ears through so that she could wear the hat just long enough for a few photos. I doubt that the head would be able to stay on if I were to take her trick-or-treating though. The length was just about perfect, reaching all the way to her back and the back feet reached practically to the ground. The front feet hugged her quite perfectly. The material is very thin, which is actually a good thing. I wouldn't want for my little girl to get overheated, especially with her already thick coat that she wears year round. The head, tail and acorn however are made out of thicker material, and seem as though they will be able to survive the rigors of use as long as a dog doesn't try to pull them off. The squirrel tail is pretty adorable and very thick, but the back of the costume is only supported with a very thin, flimsy, piece of elastic whereas the front of the costume is secured with overlapping tabs of velcro. Therefore, there's nothing really to hold the tail aloft. The legs which dangle down towards the ground on either side aren't enough to weight the tail and keep it from flopping significantly from side to side. Some flopping is rather cute, but excessive flopping of a large stuffed squirrel tail affixed to a dog's back could lead to annoying the pup enough that she tries to remove the large stuffed object from her back OR another dog might notice the stuffed tail enticingly plodding back and forth, daring her to pounce, tackle and begin wrestling. Either way, it's not conducive to a dog walking in her Halloween costume. But sitting, laying and overall looking downright adorable, especially as she patiently awaited her reward for being so good while I dressed her up in Halloween costumes, she absolutely can and did do.

I ordered this according to the measurements and it is a bit large for my little one. I am not going to return it because it is so cute and my little one is the Skuirrel band mascot. I will try altering it a bit and take some of the stuffing out of the head portion because it is too full that it just bobs around on her head. It's a really cute costume.

Rocked it!
I love a squirrel with a big bushy tail, but the tail might have been a little too big for my doggo's liking. Hat was super cute but hard to put cocker spaniel ears through. Made a cute outfit for a one time Halloween costume though :)

Probably proportionate to properly proportional pedigree pets
I got two sizes, both have the squirrel arms too long - so not good for a “short” breed. Basset hounds are like the T Rex of dogs though, so I saw this coming ???? it fits our monster just fine, but we can never keep him still enough to get a good pic of him. Runs small in the chest, but these are.... busty boys !!

So cute and fit as expected, but the hood/hat doesn't quite sit properly on my dogs head! Made it work though!
