Nice Santa Claus suit

OK, it's a nice Santa Claus suit, but it has some short comings. It only hat two pockets and they are extremely small, useless would describe them. The pants also needs suspenders or at least a way to tighten the pants. The belt isn't the best. Hat is OK. There were some stitching issues, but all are all a nice Santa Claus suit for a very good price. It's fairly comfortable, but it's warm. Which can be a good thing or a bad thing. If you are in a colder climate, you will be fine, a warmer climate, well you will be hot! It is sure better than the one that I had before. It looks very good, and it looks like the real deal. I'm very happy with this Santa Claus suit. I play Santa Claus for a couple of organizations, and this suit really impressed. Sure, there were small issues, but it is a very nice Santa Claus suit for a very good price. A good value. I would do it again with no problems.

Happy with purchase - small annoyances

Suit was better quality than I expected, soft velvet outside and lined with satin like material. Pants were too large at waist and too short but boots covered up that flaw. After a few hours of wearing, the white sleeves turned pink where the red dye from the costume was rubbing against it. Belt rivets popped out pretty quickly but belt still worked fine. Had to order wig and beard separate, but knew that going into the purchase. Also got those from Rubies and they were high quality. I wouldn't buy this if I was going to wear it often, but once in a while, it might be good.

Good for the price

I did have the same complaints as others- the boot covers look silly, and the belt is crap-too big and kind of cheap - but unless you are spending $400 or more you aren't getting a great one... This is great for the money

Great quality outfit

This was definitely an upgrade from my previous outfit. It is very professional looking. This outfit is so real looking, someone could be wear this as a professional Santa. Very happy with my purchase. ????????

Good quality suit without investing too much money

The pants are plenty baggy with lots of room. The elastic waist is nice and high, so you can pull them up over your padded belly and they sit comfortably without trying to slip down off the tum. The pants have pockets, but they're small and hidden under the coat. The jacket is a little large on me, even with a padded belly at 55". The inside is lined with a satiny material that won't snag on whatever you're wearing underneath. There are no pockets, inside or out, on the jacket. It has two loops plenty wide enough for a 4" wide belt The velvet material and fur lining on the jacket, pants, and hat all look and feel great. They're well put-together and feel durable. The plastic belt looks okay the first time you wear it, but you're gonna want some safety pins or double sided tape as the tightest hole in the belt was the one that fit my 55" belly, and that left enough extra belt to go halfway around me again. That long tail kept sliding out of the belt loop and dangling in front of me. There's another slidable belt loop on the belt that you can use to try to help, but you'll want some method to keep all the slack from dangling. Also the area around the holes tore after a couple uses, so if you're looking to be Santa more than for a single event, you'll eventually want to shop around for a higher quality replacement belt. The "boots" are shoe-coverings that have little elastics to hold them around your foot. One of those elastics snapped the first time I tried to put them on. They are loose enough to fit the bottoms of the baggy pants in, but tight enough and structurally sound enough to stay up. My shoe size is 8.5 and these coverings appeared to just barely make it around, so I'm guessing they might look even less realistic with larger shoe sizes. They complete the look if you're not too concerned with folks looking closely at your feet. If you're going for a more professional Santa look, you'll want to toss them and invest in some actual boots, but for a quick appearance the do the job okay.

This is my suit!

I'm the Real Santa Claus and this is MY suit. I wear them regularly between Thanksgiving Day and Christmas. I'm ordering my fifth of these to improve my dry-cleaning rotation. Nobody wants to sit on a dirty Santa.

I was very happy with my choice

I was looking for a Santa Suit on a budget, in order to wear at work during the holiday. When I was shopping, I chose this costume because the price was affordable, and I've always heard about the quality of Rubie's Costumes. Overall, I was very happy with my choice. The jacket is very comfortable, fluffy and soft. No extra padding added, so you can be a fit Santa if you would like. If I were to improve 2 things with the jacket, I would switch the zipper direction (it was reversed from what I'm used to), and I'd have some type of snaps to keep the trim on the coat closed. The hat was also a high quality hat, matching the materials of the jacket. I didn't wear the pants, or the boot coverings. When I went to put them on, I realized the pants are intended to go inside the boot covering. Between the thickness of the material for the pants, and my calves (which are larger than normal), I could not fit these two together. This wouldn't have been an issue as I normally would have just used a pair of black boots that I own, but the pant legs are not fully finished. The boot covers are topped with the white trim, and if you cannot tuck in the pants to the boots, it is very noticeable. The only other complaint I have is the belt. It did not survive the whole day, tearing where the reinforced sizing holes are. I would also suggest they remove the beard from the preview picture, as it is not included. I was aware of it, but at first glance, one might think they are getting the whole package. All in all, I'm happy with my purchase, and I think you will be too. I now see this suit as a base that I can customize to fit my needs better for next year. If you are looking for a Santa Suit that is reasonably priced, made of quality fabrics, and looks good, this one will fit the bill.

Excellent quality

i was very happy with the quality of this suit. Nice fabric feel and colour, jacket lined and quality zipper and snaps to keep jacket in place. Pants even have pockets. Sizing is true to size (XL) with lots of room for tummy padding, although the arms are a little short. With the provided white gloves, won't be too bothersome. Great value!

Decent Quality Suit - Wig and Beard is Low Quality

Decent quality suit. We ended up buying Rubies beard and wig separately for a better quality set. We added glasses and a puffy belly. Photo attached (Pardon the state of the house - we just had a baby)

Very well made.

The beard is definitely not as pictured and I suspect that the hair is not either. We have not taken it out of the bag yet. The beard is actually very disappointing. The suit colour is more cherry red than what is pictured but the suit itself appears to be well made. Fully lined. The pants are shorter than expected but I guess you can tuck them into the boot covers. If that does not work I will just add a satin ribbon to the bottom hem. The pants are not hemmed they are finished with a serger. We may have to purchase an extra beard and hair.It may fool a three year old but definitely not a 7 year old. The price is very good for the suit, it would cost way more to make a suit like this.
