Got a Big Head?
This hat is for you. I need serious sun protection and this hat is perfect for that. San Diego Hat Co makes some really cute hats for women but they are not made for someone that needs a size 7 and 5/8. This hat is indeed large as other reviews have mentioned but that is a good thing. Other hats I have tried for too tightly and cause headaches for me. The color is neutral and good with any color. The only issue I have sometimes is if I am walking into the wind it will flap up, causing the sun to get in my eyes. I have to hold my head down slightly which is not ideal when one is walking quickly.

Dog tested durability
Hat is comfortable, but a slight tear in the stitching that would have made it fall apart. But my dog got ahold of it, and it survived that in one piece, so it's fairly durable.

I love the San Diego hat company and have owned many hats over the years. This hat is a bit too deep so it will pull down far on your head unless your head is quite bigger than mine. Brim is comparable to my older hat but it feels really large. Probably just stiff because it’s new. Maybe this isn’t the perfect hat for me because it doesn’t fit like my older one....excellent quality. Just too deep on my head. I’m keeping it and I’ll work with it to see how it softens up.

Love these hats
I have been wearing this style of San Diego for years. Its not perfect, but its sturdy, won't blow off your head easily and provides great coverage of your face and neck. I wear mine almost every day, working outside. I get mine dirty and sweat a lot. It gets a little droopy when used like this, but lasts about a year. Straw hats at almost too light and do not last nearly as well. The hiking type sun hats are too floppy.

Fit of "one size fits all"
This hat was described as one size fits all, but it was a large, so returned for a medium. Love their hats!

Amazon sucks
Great hat. Shipped in a plastic bag and was totally crushed. They also sent a size large, not medium, which is really annoying because it was a last minute purchase before a trip and there is no way I’ll get another one in time. Amazon, get it together.

This is THE Urban Sombrero
I have had this hat for several weeks now and it looks like new other than dirty garden hand marks. If you want an urban sombrero this is it. The hat is durable and well made and I expect it will last me several summers. It is great for Kayaking and working in the yard. It has coverage like no other hat I have owned. It is far superior to straw hats that a person would buy at a big box store. I bought several cheaper hats looking for good coverage. If i had started with this hat to begin with I would have saved some mula. I would definitely buy this hat again but do not expect to have to for a good long while.
