Broke with no warning while diving

This item broke with no warning on the 3rd or 4th dive, while I was diving. Luckily we were at the surface, so it was not a dangerous situation. Upon further inspection, it had a metallurgical problem in the brass connector fitting, where the metal looked flaky and grainy. It broke on the grainy area of metal. Suffice to say that I would not trust this item for diving ever again.
