Fantastic purchase

I’m thrilled… after attempting a free standing gate (dogs are too smart) and then purchasing a flimsy gate that was too small, this beautiful gate appeared in my Amazon search. It took a bit longer than I had hoped for it to arrive, and for this not so handy person, it took 2 of us to install… all worth it. I don’t usually leave reviews but I’m in ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️. If you’d thinking about it and the dimensions work for you, I say “go for it” ????

“Easy” Installation

I struggled with the instructions of installing this gate. I still don’t have it right but it works for my needs (puppy proofing) and it matches my furniture and decor. Dog can’t get through it so it serves its purpose.

Only Stops My Husky with Both Bottom Latches Down

This gate will only stop my husky if I bend down and put both of the bottom latches down. This is a hassle to do every time. If I don't put both latches down my Husky figures out how to open the gate. I bought another one by Babelio (The metal baby gate with the wooden pattern, size 29-40 inches) and this stops my Husky and I don't have to undo latches at the bottom. So I recommend that if you have a strong and smart dog like a husky you should get that gate by Babelio or a similar item. The gate by Babelio automatically latches and unlatches at the bottom, and you press on the release buttons to open the gate. You don't have to bend down and lift latches on the bottom like with this gate by Safety First. It latches on the bottom when you close the gate.

Awesome gate but Arrived broken twice from amazon

We've ordered two of these gates from target and they arrived in perfect condition. We love the gate. It looks nice. Its sturdy and easy to use. We wanted one more but target is out of stock so we decided to get it from Amazon. The first arrived broken. Then the replacement also arrived broken! Luckily they were broken in different places so we were able to switch pieces out to have one completed gate. The boxes were beat up and all the pieces inside were loose. Idk whats going on with Amazon shipping but even our other package arrived beaten up. So the gate itself gets 5 stars but id recommend trying to buy it from someone other than amazon.

Caution for dog owners

I'm using this to block the entry on my patio, so my dog will stay on the patio. I previously had a regular wire gate there and I've noticed because she can't see thru it like she could the old one, she's gotten more barrier aggressive. Guessing it has to do with the barrier itself and how dogs perceive what's my space vs your space. Other then that, it's beautiful, it functions just as it should and i think it's great. Bit overpriced, but hey, i paid it.

Read instructions before assembly!

Accidentally cut a zip tie that was supposed to be intact until I installed the door. Should have read instructions before cutting all the zip ties. Took a little longer than expected but looks perfect in our home at the stairs.

Muy bonito

Se siente muy firme y de buen material. En mi escalera que mide 90 cm de ancho encajo sin las extensiones y todo bien, evita que mi hijo de año y medio use las escaleras. Estéticamente es muy bonito, combina con mis muebles.
