Decent for the money

I’d have given this 5 stars because it is a good value for the money, but, they had messed up when they put together the left drawer side panel. They realized it during manufacturing and instead of starting over, they put wood filler in and flipped the board over to put the holes where they belonged. The holes didn’t line up quite right when we assembled so we had to get creative to get it together. Because of that, the drawer doesn’t open and close all that smoothly. I’m sure we could have contacted them or sent it back for a new one, but Amazon had already sent us the wrong item once and we just wanted to be done with it. It should be noted that the finish is not smooth. This is intentional. We didn’t realize that when purchasing it. Also a piece of wood that didn’t get stained in the top front. See pics for what I’ve described. The instructions would have been fairly easy to follow if the pieces had been bore out appropriately.

Solid table but hardware was backward on one side of drawer.

Beautiful table solid fairly easy to set up. 1st table I put together it was a breeze the second I kept rereading the directions and finally realized it was them not me that was wrong. They put the runner on backwards, and the holes didn’t match up right. I ended up taking the runner of myself and flipping it around to where it would work but the for that to happen the slit that holds the bottom in was facing outwards. So these are for a hotel type room I didn’t bother putting the bottom in and was able to get it to slide in like normal and it looks fine minus missing the bottom. I was in a time crunch and did not feel like disassembling the entire thing to send back. So I plan on finding away to put the bottom in later. Other than that hassle I think they are a solid piece.

One sloppy error keeps this from being amazing

I'm quite impressed with this end table. I've put together my share of Ikea furniture and expected this to be the same kind of flatpack experience I was used to. But no, this is so much better that it's not a fair comparison. The end table is already about half assembled when you get it AND most of the fastener holes have metal threads sunk into the wood to have something solid to catch onto. It took 20 to 30 minutes to put together and the table is very sturdy. I shopped around and knew that this was mostly solid wood instead of MDF and that's exactly what it arrived as. The only piece that's not a solid piece of wood is the bottom of the drawer, which is what I expected. Very impressed by both the price for construction and the ease of assembly. There's one unfortunate error that keeps this from being a five star piece of furniture. I've attached a photograph that shows the handle on my drawer. It's quite crooked - verified both by eye and a pair of calipers. It's canted to the left by fifteen or twenty degrees. Doesn't affect the functionality of the furniture but it's a disappointing oversight after everything else was so impressive. Overall, I'm happy with this purchase and expect to use this table for a long time to come.

Nice product

Looks just like the picture. Assembles easily and doesn't look like a kit. Drawer slides smoothly. Very solid. Not a veneer. Love it.

Well...

For one, this was not the easiest piece of furniture I've ever put together. The Allen wrenches were made of soft metal that didn't last to the end of assembly. There was at least one anchoring screw that was rusted which has to be removed and replaced. The drawer backing was cut incorrectly and all the screws for it had to be redrilled in order to get everything to line up properly. Once everything was finally put together, it looks great. So, overall I suppose the effort was worth it. Still...

Quality workmanship and high class look

This table is made of solid wood and is quality workmanship and has a high class look. It is well made and sturdy. Most drawers in tables are shallow and basically unusable. The drawer in this table is deeper and usable. The included instructions are very well written and easy to follow. Extra hardware is also included in case needed. I would highly recommend this piece of furniture.

Not Great

Back piece had part mounted upside down ... so I needed to mount the piece without the benefit of two mounting holes for the top. All the dowel holes were too big for the included dowels, so structural integrity is not as good as it could be, but more importantly, the intended purpose, to line up and hold the pieces in place for screwing, was defeated. That said, when I finally got it put together with the dowels swimming in the holes (no mallet needed!) the table looks good and serves its purpose. I just expected more for the money. Not a bad design --- just subpar manufacturing execution. That said, it didn't come from High Point NC but instead it was from Vietnam, so maybe I should lower my expectations.
