Fabric is wonderful.

The valances are a little sheer but a nice soft fabric. I was able to add some of my personality by sewing plaid fabric to the pleats on the bottom .

These are nice curtains. They are thin and a bit see through, but perfect for what I needed.

Sheer but not too sheer for front door windows.

I keep coming back to these curtains. They are crisp white and brighten any room or window. I have purchased almost every size at different times for the kitchen, bathroom windows, an odd family room side window and now the front door. They look great facing the street and even hold back some of the hot afternoon sun in the kitchen. The fabric is tightly woven to give you a little privacy and they wash well. I wish they made full curtain sheers. I would put them in every window in the house. Worth every penny!

Added blackout liner

So, these curtains are definitely thin. I hung them in my rental home's kitchen only to discover that the morning light comes through them--but only through the middle section of the curtain because the rod pocket is against my wall, and the 3 "rows" at the bottom are thick enough for light not to pass through. It looked odd. A quick trip to Hobby Lobby for blackout liner and bonding tape (about $12 with my coupon) plus about an hour of my time, and I am now satisfied with the look. I put a strip of bonding tape 1/4 inch from the bottom hem and also along the bottom thread line of the rod pocket. After I ironed on the liner, I had to trim all the edges as the curtains are not quite uniform/square. My main focus was to make an even line at the bottom of the curtain so it looks okay from outside; no one will ever see the unevenness of the liner toward the top. I'm not sure how these would hold up in the wash, but this is a rental house that I will only live in for one year, so I don't plan on taking them down. The garnet color us perfect!

Beauty valance

I bought, I believe 3 or 4 sets of these to do two windows. One set just wasn't enough. Needed more fluffy oomff to the windows. Installed these, looks fantastic.
