Perfect sun protection for large/long arms/hands
I've been purchasing and wearing these sleeves for more than ten years. I always thought they were a bit pricey but when you consider their purpose, I'm just happy that they fit my large upper arm. They are comfortable and cooling when working or playing in the sun. It is great to see them in a few more colors.

FULL arm coverage! But not full sun protection.
These are perfect! I've bought other sun sleeves before, and none of them came up much past the elbow, even when the pictures on the website showed them extending up to the bicep. These sleeves cover all the way from the back of my hand up to the armpit, so my arms are fully protected from the sun even if I'm wearing a women's shirt with tiny cap sleeves. I ordered a medium, because I'm a cyclist and wanted to ensure they would stay put, so they fit a bit snug on my arms which suits me just fine. I do notice a tiny bit of slipping after about a month of daily use, but nothing extreme. They just start to get a bit saggy around my elbows. Nothing that a quick tug doesn't fix. The other minor complaint is that the light color shows dirt very easily and quickly. I bought them in pewter, which is more like a blush blue than a grey. Again, using these on my bicycle, the palms pick up all the road grime that collects on my handlebar grips. And since these are ambidextrous (you can use either sleeve on either arm), the glove part quickly becomes grimy on both sides. It washes up easily and dries quickly though. I'll probably end up getting another few pairs in a darker color like graphite, and the safety orange. Overall, one of the best sun sleeves I've ever used, and well worth the price. Especially if you're sensitive to the sun like me, these pay for themselves after a few weeks since you don't have to go through nearly as much sunscreen anymore. I only carry a small bottle for my face now, instead of having to keep a bigger bottle so I can keep my arms coated. These also keep my arms cool due to blocking the sun, and I get people everywhere asking me where I got them. They always ask me if my arms are hot, until I have them touch the sleeve, which feels much cooler than you would expect. If you give them a quick dip in water they're even cooler thanks to the evaporation. Wish they made these for legs. EDIT 7/21/2016: Well, I am editing my review after owning these for just three months. While they do prevent me from getting sunburn, which is great, they do NOT prevent me from getting tanned. Slowly I can see the color on my arms darkening, and I can tell this most easily by the tan line around my watch. I only bought the watch last month, and I wear the sleeves every time I go outside, so in the past month my arm skin has gotten tanner. While they do definitely screen the UV--- without the sleeves my arms would be much darker by now--- they do not even provide the same level of protection as even a basic cotton t-shirt. Again, I can see the tan line ending where my t-shirt sleeves start. So, bottom line: they're comfortable, and if you're looking for something to help prevent burns, they'll do the job. But they don't even screen as much light as a plain cotton shirt, so I am going to continue shopping around. I had to knock off a couple of stars because they're just not performing as expected.

My third pair
I've been wearing these sleeves (and also gloves) for many years. I don't much like sunscreen (I've tried all kinds) so this has been a happy alternative. Seems like they would be uncomfortable on hot days, but in fact that's not the case, they're always quite comfortable. I wear them for everything: driving, gardening, hiking...any time I'm outdoors, or my skin is exposed to the sun. I wear the gloves in cooler weather when I'm wearing a long sleeved shirt or jacket. While I'll continue to buy these, there are some issue which resulted in 3 stars vs 5 stars. I wear a medium, and when I first wear them they fit well. However, over time they stretch out, and sag. I recently read on SkinCancer.org's website that "sun-protective clothing may lose its effectiveness if pulled too tight or stretched out, if it becomes damp or wet, or if it is washed and worn repeatedly." So, be forewarned. I don't know if any clothing is rated higher than UPF 50, but I mistakenly thought I was getting "total protection" from these sleeves. My error, not Eclipse Sun Products'. I had thought, given how much I wear these, that I would notice a contrast in my protected skin (arms) from unprotected (fingers), but that's not the case. My arms have ended up looking tanned. It could be that the UPF is not as high as I need, or the fabric is stretched and not providing adequate protection. But, these are better than nothing, and I don't get sunburned. There are a couple of products on the market that I've read about, but haven't yet tried that can also help provide sun protection. One is Rit Sun Guard Laundry Treatment UV Protection ( I saw this recommended on SkinCancer.org's website). Another is Sunsafe Rx capsules or similar (a dermatologist made me aware such products exist). Be safe in the sun! 06/08/2016 update: I've had occasion recently while working outdoors to wear these every day, working long hours in the sun for about a week. I ended up with a "T-shirt" kind of tan; that is, where my T-shirt covered my shoulders was untanned, where the sun sleeves were I was tanned. Yes, far better than nothing, but they don't provide total protection the way a denim or canvas shirt will. UPF 50 means "lets in 1/50th of the sun's UV." I think these are great for casual use--hiking on a partial shady trail, shorter times in the sun--but don't count on them for all day, every day, long sun exposures to keep your skin untanned, such as a long day at the beach. The tanning is subtle, but it's there. I've also found these last at most 2 years before getting too saggy to wear. I recently found another pair of sun sleeves that fit like a second skin and have no seam, which was wonderful. Cheaper too. I'll end up using both brands of sun sleeves. 11/29/2016 UPDATE - I hate to say this, but these sleeves didn't even last a year before they started sagging all the time. My prior comment of "at most 2 years" was based on a faulty recollection. The manufacturer had said "3 years" as I recall, with regular use (in the comments). I do use these all the time, and by all indications I have the right size. Now they are sagging all the time, they won't stay up for very long. When I launder them they're better for a short time, before the droop again. I'd buy these again, because I like them, but these are best for occasional use. Otherwise, they're kind of expensive for what you get. I've dropped the rating because of that issue.

I've had a lot of sun sleeves, and these are THE BEST ever!
I've had a lot of sun sleeves over the years, and these yellow ("Neon") ones are my favorite ones ever! Things I like: * The fabric feels cool even in hot sun. * They reach beyond my wrists to also cover much of my hands. * The yellow color looks good. * In Amazon's pictures of the different colors, the yellow ones are the only ones that have a printed-on label instead of a sewn-on one. Labels don't usually bother me, but I've had some terribly itchy, pokey labels on other brands of sun sleeves. These sun sleeves have a printed-on label, so they are poke-free and itch-free. I like that. * The tops stay up -- no slipping down. Somehow Eclipse did this with just fabric -- no elastic or silicone non-slip band. * I have size Small and they fit me perfectly. I weigh 112 pounds and am 5 feet tall and female. I usually fit a women's size small t-shirt. * As sun sleeves go, they look great! * I got mud on them, then ran them through the washing machine and hung them up to dry. No shrinkage, and they look brand new! * Sun protection with no need to re-apply or to wonder if you put on enough sunscreen. No worries about whether it blocks UVA and UVB. No weird chemicals! Things I don't like: * Expensive!

Cool & light weight
So much easier than wearing a long sleeved top to protect your arms against sun rays. So easy to put them on when going out to garden. Easy to pack & to wash. This is my second set and an essential item when traveling to sunny climates.

careful with size
just received mine today and happy with colour and feel. I am 49yrs old, 5'6'' and 146lbs. I bought size M but I find them too long. My arm length is 20-21". Perhaps I should have bought the small...

Una necesidad para los que manejan
Tengo notablemente el brazo izquierdo más Moreno por el daño solar que he recibido al manejar, desde que uso las mangas he notado que se ha ido mejorando el tono de mi piel . Ajustan muy bien y repelen el calor .
