Quality faucet with a minimalist style

I ordered this faucet in July of 2021 to match the shower faucet in our bath remodel. We had many delays in material during the pandemic and the contractor also had covid. We just now got the vanity top and are still waiting for the custom cabinet. The faucet arrived in 2021 but the manufacture date on the box was 2017. I don't know whether the faucet was manufactured then, or the box was. I was going to send the faucet back because the box was obviously a return from a commercial job but it was the last faucet (now I know why). My husband is a retired registered plumber and I told him to check the box for missing parts because the faucet was going to wait for months beyond the Amazon 30 day return window. He said everything appeared to be there. There was a plastic cap over the drain assembly to protect the finish and he assumed the pop up was underneath. NOT.... As he was installing it today, we realized that not only was the faucet missing the pop-up part of the drain (the part that stops the water from going down the drain) the drain assembly had a chrome finish, and the faucet was brushed nickel. I am calling Speakman to hopefully get the missing part and a drain assembly with the correct finish. The pop-up sizes on Speakman are an odd size and our old American Standard pop-up doesn't fit. You can still use the sink. I am frustrated on two levels: At myself for not returning this faucet when it was obvious that it was a prior return and possibly a mish mosh of parts and at Speakman, a company we used in our plumbing business when customers wanted performance and commercial quality. This faucet was $323 when I purchased it and I'm really disgusted as to why it was even sold this way. Poor quality control. Update. Speakman corrected the problem immediately. We had a case number assigned and I called in a few days to see how things were going. It had been assigned to someone but my phone call was received by a product specialist and she took over the case. I had a new drain assembly in two days. It turns out this faucet was not sent by The Speakman Store but by Amazon. It must have been a return and was old stock laying around the warehouse even though it was listed as new. The new Speakman lavatory drains are plastic with metal parts only at the pop up drain. The parts we received initially were all metal and were made a few years back and mismatched. The rep said the box was also a dead giveaway as the “Luxury Hotel Experience” boxes haven’t been used for years. This faucet is being discontinued by Speakman although parts will be available. The new similar model is called Quinn I believe. As indicated previously, my husband is a retired master plumber, but this faucet installed easily and has a generous supply line length that should connect easily to any shut off valve under your sink without a run to the DIY store. This faucet is extremely easy to operate and would be suitable for a person with limited mobility in their hands. I would not hesitate to buy Speakman or Wolverine Brass products from the Speakman Store on Amazon. They stand behind their products and you will speak to an actual person if you have problems.

Great quality at a great price!

Was looking for a high quality, solid brass faucet for a small, wall mount sink that wouldn’t break the bank. Have other Speakman products so when I spotted this on another site I knew it was the one. Found it here on Amazon, NIB, for less than half of the price of other sites and with the other perks I’ve come to love about Amazon (fast shipping, free returns, etc). Installed easily. * It is for a sink with an overflow drain - that info is not posted anywhere - not even the Speakman site. And it does come with the matching drain assembly. I needed a ptrap extension to make it work but it came together beautifully. Wish they would have made the water supply tubes and bottom of drain assembly in brown or matching bronze for exposed sinks. Also, accessories for this Neo line in oil rubbed bronze are impossible to find (toilet paper holder especially). But found another brand (Amerock) that matches it perfectly to complete my project.
