Cute but extra wide is misleading & toe box is narrow

I bought these for a little girl with wide feet. These shoes are cute but the extra wide is not fully accurate. The insoles are the same width as regular See Kai Run canvas shoes (this brand does run on the wider side so I would classify them as a wide shoe), but the See Kai Run canvas shoes have a bit wider of a toe box. The See Kai Run athletic shoes and Mary Janes have more of a wide foot shaped toe box which is my preference. I really wish that Stride Rite would make Mary Jane shoes with a wider toe box that is more friendly to the shape of feet. This is a problem with a lot of brands of shoes. The best shoes for kids that I have found so far is Ten Little, but they don’t make Mary Janes for kids beyond toddler size 13. Summary of Cons: Runs narrow - extra wide is more like a wide Toe box is narrow Heel lift seems a bit much Glitter rubs off and gets onto things Pros: Cute style Removable insole Length seems fairly accurate for a 1.5 youth size compared to Ten Little and See Kai Run kids shoes

Stylish and durable WORTH every penny!

My 6 year old didn't want to take these off. She was jumping and skipping. The shoe has a comfortable feel with a nice rubber bottom preventing slips and falls. Her foot is narrow so it fits perfectly. However if your child has a wider foot I would order a size up.

I love Stride Rite shoes! I only wish my granddaughter would stay little! She grows too fast to wear her shoes out…I wish Stride Rite had a trade up program!

Not bad

We got them at a super mark down so for that price not bad. However, as others have mentioned, these are by no means wide I got my daughter, the extra wide and those fit like a normal shoe. Also, a nice thing is that they come with memory foam. However, knowing that you have to size up or expect it to be more snug.
