Far better than expected..

I have an ivory colored leather sofa and loveseat, great quality, that I bought back in 1991. For my money nothing is more comfortable or looks better. However after 30 years and 3 dogs that have made the sofa their home, the seat cushions have been worn to the point where we are seeing some 2" tears in the leather. I called around about getting the seat cushions reupholstered...and you can imagine it wasn't cheap. Roughly $2k to have the 5 cushions done. Ok, so that's out and I'm thinking what can I do to make it look decent and still be comfortable. I almost bought one of those fabric covers that lays over the back and seat and is easily removed and washed. I still think that's a reasonable solution even if it doesn't exactly make the sofa look new. Then I stumbled onto these while searching on Amazon. I just received them a couple days ago so I can't say that I will still love them in a year...we still have our dog...he still lays on the sofa at night...so I guess we will see how they hold up. But what I would say is that the out of the box experience is amazingly good for the money. First, probably I just got lucky, but they match the color of my ivory leather so well that when I called my wife in to have a look at the sofa (without telling her I'd put the covers on) she couldn't figure out what I wanted her to look at. They blend in almost perfectly. Second the fit is great. The entire fabric is stretch...not just the elastics around the outside, so it fits like a glove. The quality and thickness seem reasonable given they are covers. And my initial impression is that they are really comfortable. You can barely tell they are on the sofa. They aren't slippery, or crinkly, or sticky or smelly or anything. So I'm a fan and I wish I would have bought them 10 years ago because assuming (big assumption) they would last then my sofa would look like new instead of being beat up by my dogs. If I think of it I will write another review in 6 months and let you know how they hold up, but for now I'd say this is exactly what I was looking for and way better than what I'd expected.

Great for sectional puzzles!

I ordered for my 3pc Woodhaven sectional puzzle couch. My cushions do not detach from the seating area and are 1 solid cushion, and these stretched perfectly. They hug the corners just right and Auto-tuck like a fitted sheet. I ordered taupe to try and match my couch but it’s more greyish. (I looked at receipt and it changed to grey, but I didn’t do it so idk but oh well) It’s still good though so I won’t be returning. I have three dogs, varying sizes and energy (see pic lol), so I worry about the seating being messed up with their playing or nails, or if they get excited and have an accident. These have been PERFECT. No issues. I tested the waterproof option before putting on. It works. Each of my couches are 73”w x 35”h x 37”d and the Large size worked perfectly for them. Definitely recommend for pet households. I only bought 2/3 I needed just to test it for the holiday, but I will most definitely be buying a 3rd for my other couch. (Overly detailed to help pet parents haha)

I was skeptical at first but...

These are pretty great. My dogs destroyed one and a half cushions of my relatively new leather couch and I am not in the position to just buy a new couch. I tried these on a whim and wasn't expecting much. When they arrived, I wasn't too happy. They seemed thin and cheap and I thought my dogs would destroy these quickly. But I was wrong. These are great. They're thin but strong. They fit my couch cushions perfectly and hide those horrible holes in the leather. Are they perfect? No. The color doesn't match my couch and the material is a little slippery, so the cushions keep sliding a little on the couch. But they're giving my couch a longer life and I like looking at them much more than looking at the carnage they're hiding. You really don't have anything to lose by trying them, so give them a shot. You may be pleasantly surprised like I was.

Perfect, about that odor tho…Update

Ordered 4 of the faux leather and 2 of the fabric from different seller. Ivory and gray, true to color. Packaging was great, product looks great, going on rv cushions but was excited to put on, so used couch to test. CON only con preventing from five stars is the horrible smell. I’m going to wash in warm water with gentle detergent on delicate cycle as read online. But articles also note to turn inside out or put in mesh bag, reduce speed for spin cycle and air dry inside out, stretching out as much as possible. Other options are to 1. mix gentle detergent with warm water (or vinegar and water), wipe down with microfiber 2. Put in big plastic bag with baking soda on inside and out, sit for few hours then gently brush off. !!! the ad only says to wash warm and tumble dry, different from all articles read online!! I’m going to go with easiest and safest option first, wipe with gentle detergent mixture, will update review once done. UPDATE 7/19: had to proceed to machine wash, 5 delicate cycles in and smell still strong, doing a sixth. Seems other reviews had no issue with foul smell so my order may be anomaly. Good news it’s kept shape and quality. Really disappointing the odor is still so horrid. will update soon If helpful, let me know! Have a beautiful day!!
