Not very cheap but still worse it

Somehow one of the blades chipped after one week. I rotated it to use a second cutting side and was thinking it will completely destroyed soon. Decided to buy a replacement blade but after 3 month my broken original blade still work fine.

Better than generic blades

The sun Joe brand blades have a slight curve at each end that adds a little extra metal between the edge and the mounting hole. This gives the sun Joe blades extra strength that the generics missing due to their straight ends. Read the reviews of the generics and you'll see a lot of people complaining that the blades break. This is my third set of son Joe blades and I've never had an issue with the blades cracking. They cost a little more but they definitely seem to last a long time. You can re-sharpen them, and the blades are double-sided so you can flip them over and use The cutting edge on the other side as well.

Only one blade? Come on Sun Joe..

Wanting an extra set of blades (my chipper takes two), I thought this was an excellent price for blades for a chipper that I am very happy with. Boy was I surprised upon receiving only one blade. Yes, it was my mistake for not reading the product description better, and not reading the reviews. I decided it is best to look at the overall value proposition of this. My Sun Joe chipper was one third the cost of the last professional I had come out to lightly trim low hanging branches (that got in the way of mowing) on a few of our trees. Replacement blades for the chipper, at $10 per blade, are a SMALL fraction of what it cost to have a professional come out. Therefore, I am very happy to pay $10 per blade. I will order one more blade now so that I have a set of two in reserve. My review is not a knock on my Sun Joe chipper. I wait a while before reviewing things so I can get plenty of use out of them first. Sun Joe went out of their way to engineer an inexpensive chipper that works fine for what I use it for. For the price, I expected it to not last. I have found it to be durable.

Works PERFECTLY. I recommend this purchase.

I have an old McCulloch MCS2001 14 amp Electric Chipper/Shredder and these replacement blades are PERFECT. I sharpen my own blades but they are getting a little small. These replacement blades were a perfect fit and they have lasted for hours already without a sharpening. I was worried about the hardness of these blades...not anymore! Be sure to purchase (2) since this is sold a a single blade. Thanks Amazon! Thanks Sun Joe!

Old blades were dull. These are sharp and seem to stay sharp. Note: slop lots of used motor oil on the whole assembly and they stay relativelly clean.

Chipper blade

There is only one blade... I was disappointed there wasn't a set, as one is useless alone. For a buck or two more another supplier has sets, I won't make that mistake again.
