Easier to install than described!

I am a 70 year old retired teacher who decided to embark on this project on my own. I was a little nervous after reading about someone who's son, a plumber, had issues. Nevertheless, I decided to go ahead. I turned to You Tube and Viola! I found several instructional videos for this particular model. I did have some problems with getting the outer plate to flush with the wall, but that was because I mistakenly installed the ring first. DO NOT. This will not allow you to maneuver the plate into place until it clicks. The other thing was that I had to purchase an Allen wrench to tighten the handle. Symmons should definitely include this. I called and told them. All in all, I was very happy with this product, and recommend it highly. BTW: The only colored letter on the plate is the red "H", which I think is good.

Worst item I have ever purchased, not kidding.

Do not bother with this. My son is a plumber & struggled for 3 hours to get this installed. Does not sit flat against shower wall, plate came with no notch for diverter (thankfully he had a dremel to make one) piece of crapola. Cheap plastic. Picture does not show the red & blue colors that the product actually comes with. I would not have ordered this if I knew that. Looks elegant in the picture but is really cheap looking and belongs in multi apartment buildings not my home. So disappointed in Simmons. Have to keep it because I haven’t had a working shower in 2 days. Will replace it as soon as possible. I rarely write reviews but hoping to keep someone from making the same mistake I did. Run as fast as you can away from this.......even the diverter arm won’t work properly ugh. Would give it a minus star rating but that’s not an option
