Fits Honda Civic Upstream Sensor. Diameter is 1.25".

This tool worked for removing and installing the upstream oxygen (air / fuel) sensor on my 8th generation (2006-2011) Honda Civic. The sensor (Denso 234-9124) has a heatshield that limits which sensor tools fit. Initially, I tried a Powerbuilt offset socket that I already had on hand, but the tool diameter was too big to fit all the way into the heat shield so it wouldn’t reach the sensor’s hex “bolt”. With no manufacturers specifying an outer diameter (O.D.) dimension for any of the different O2 sensor tools, I crossed my fingers and purchased this Tekton socket. I’m happy to say it fit. To help others in the future, the O.D. of this socket is 1.25”. For reference, the Powerbuilt offset socket was 1.32”. (I uploaded a pic comparing both.) That 0.07” made the difference between what fit and what didn’t. Though I wish I had the diameter information up front, I’m happy that this purchase worked out and I hope you found this info helpful.

Very solid O2 sensor socket

Made very short work or removing A/F sensor from my 2001 Rav4. Sensor was tight but with a little torque applied via cheater bar, came off easily. Socket did not appear to flex. Costs bit more than some of the other sockets on amazon but seems to be constructed more robust

TEKTON 4929 3/8-Inch Drive by 7/8-Inch Oxygen Sensor Socket

It removed my old oxygen sensor. And it installed my new oxygen sensor. That's all I wanted and it did it without bragging. Modest little unit. Get it and save yourself a mechanic bill of arm/leg

OJO solo para el sensor de oxigeno frontal

todo correcto para el sensor frontal, en mi caso ocupaba para el sensor trasero (salida escape) y este último es mas largo por lo cual este aditamento no me fue funcional, igual el sensor ya no servía y le di un recorte para poder usarlo

Excellent product!

This is a must have in any car enthusiasts tool kit. My O2 sensor was basically welding into my cat and would not come out, I even crushed the edges of the hex nut on the sensor trying to get it off. Bought this and slapped it on an impact gun and it pulled that sucker off right away! Only word of caution, the O2 sensor wires will wrap around the socket if you try to back the whole thing off in one go, this is meant only to break it loose so you can do the rest by hand. All in all, perfect product for a specific application, impact ready and solid construction. Strongly recommend!

Not cheap material at all. Very durable and good price.

Worked well to remove the bank 2 sensor 1 air/Fuel sensor. However, I had trouble using it to remove bank 2 sensor 2 oxygen sensor due to there not being enough room to fit a ratchet or breaker bar. I don't think this is the socket's fault, of course. I just wanted to let anyone buying know this is a possibility.
