Must have for Cold Weather Running
Running in Temps below 20 degrees is tricky for any extremity. This takes care of your most sensitive one. Game changer for me. Highly recommended.

Too tight, wind block works amazingly
Just before writing this review I looked at some of the other reviews and am shocked to see people saying these are too loose. My experience has been the opposite. I have 32" waist and got M. I love the wind protection these offer, it is a game changer for winter activities - in theory. However they are a bit too tight to wear comfortably. I generally wear normal boxers though because most boxer briefs are also too tight for me, so it may not be a problem if you like boxer briefs. If I size up, the waist may then become too big, though I may try it. I am also going to try cutting off the wind shield from the pair I have and sewing them on another better fitting pair of underwear.

Protected from the wind
Great price and does its job protecting against the wind. These are fairly thin around the legs though. My only real complaint is that the legs ride up instead of staying put. I usually have this issue with shorter boxer briefs however. Otherwise, a good buy and waist is true to fit.

Great for cold-weather running!
This has been my first winter doing outdoor long-distance running, and living in the Midwest, it can get pretty cold and windy. I was prepared to keep my hands and face warm, but quickly (and painfully) realized that another appendage needed more than standard cold-weather running wear. I searched for awhile but couldn't find many options for cold-weather running underwear; I didn't want full-length thermal underwear since my legs weren't getting cold. I finally ran across these, and am glad I gave them a try. I haven't had any more issues with cold/pain in that area even with running in colder weather for longer times than I had been. So nice to not have that worry anymore! One thing to note, as stated in other reviews, they are a little baggy in the front; they aren't compression fit, and the front panel made of the wind-proof material seems a bit big. Hasn't been a problem, just something to be aware of.

Wind was blocked in all the right places.
I always wanted to run more in the winter and to keep my mileage up when it got cold. I was elated when I stumbled across these shorts. This past winter these shorts were an integral part of my running kit- in fact the only constant in my running kit. I changed everything from shoes and shells and shorts but these always were on. Because of these shorts, I was able to do my double loop (16 miles) in mid 20°F in relative comfort! I do a fair amount of woods running- the majority of which is in a cold wind blown valley- thus these things are absolutely necessary. When I was looking into the "wind blocker" shorts, I decided on these because they were significantly cheaper than any of the alternatives. All I was buying these for was to test out the theory. Now I'm convinced that you don't need to spend any more money on more expensive shorts as these are super comfy, don't chafe and last a long time- plus, they should be worn UNDER your shorts so looks don't matter at all.

No one wants frostbitten junk
As advertised, these keep my most sensitive parts protected from the wind. Thank God. If you run in cold, windy weather, I highly recommend buying a pair of these before you know why you need them. Ouch ouch OUCH. The windproof panel on these is a little on the small side; on very windy days, you can get breezes in around the side, and I'm tempted to combine these with The Sock on the worst days. They'd probably also be helped by a decent pair of compression shorts over them, since they are very short themselves and don't give much thigh coverage. That said, the panel cuts out probably 95% of the wind, which is a HUGE improvement. With these on, I do not (nearly literally) freeze my bits off. As noted by other reviewers, the sizing on these runs fairly large; I haven't work a small *anything* for 20 years -- I'm solidly medium -- but a small in these fit me just dandy.

these things do work
I dont know about in Antarctica but in upper 30s 100% humidity seattle I wore them under uninsulated spandex for hours and was kept warm and toasty, a couple of days earlier I did the same ride under the same conditions wearing the same thing and nearly froze. 30 bucks seemed like a lot to pay (they were 20 when I went back to do the review so a bought another pair) especially when you you see how little material there is, but they do the job. Is there a cheaper alternative that would work as well, maybe, but I dont know that there is and the fact is that they are doing something that no "normal" fabric can do.

Keeps your Johnson from falling off
Warmth: YES!! Finally, I can run when its cold without having to look like a freak with a hand down my pants halfway through. So far I've only tested down to 12 degrees F and used a sock as well and thermal underwear (gotta do what ya gotta do.) For some reason it was the one part of my body that took the most effort to keep warm. I do miss SoCal winters. Sizing: I ordered a small and I am 6'2" 192 with a 33" waist. Did so off other reviewers post and found them too tight and uncomfortable. After some stretching (and a bit of tearing) I'v forced them to be more commutable but I would have stuck with the company size chart for next time.
