Timeless

I first saw a pair of Teva Sandals in the spring of 1993 on the feet of a man in Ponca Arkansas that worked for a Buffalo River canoe concession. They were plain red. Since then I have had many pairs myself. At present I have 14 pair still in the rotation. I have never had a pair in just plain red, although I have always wanted them. I’ve worn several of the competing brands but Tevas are my go to shoe from May through September usually. I wear them pretty much everywhere but work (I’m an ER nurse and that would be gross). By far they are the best fishing, canoeing and boating shoe. Not only are they great around and in the water, I wear them hiking as well, around my Missouri home and in Utah, Nevada and Arizona. I usually buy a pair or two in March before the styles and sizes become harder to find. I buy a size 10 in those I plan to wear wade fishing rivers and streams. Just a little bigger than I need to help protect from stubbing toes on rocks and submerged obstructions. For the beach and around town I buy a size 9. Always the same quality and fit. Perfect! I have bought the Hurricane versions, but I prefer the original. Do they have awesome arch support? No. Do I need arch support? No. Is the surface ruff and irritating? Sure, at first, but once you wear them for a bit they form to my feet and don’t slide around. I’ve been wearing them for years and know how to adjust the straps quickly to fit me. If you’re new to Teva take the time to adjust and readjust as needed.

Runs a half size big.

I have worn Tevas, on and off, since the early 90s. I typically wear a size 9.5-10 in athletic shoes depending on the make. In Tevas, I wear size 9 without socks and size 10 with wool socks during the winter months. I do miss the adjustable heel strap for greater fine tuning. Overall, a great option to flip flops.

Comfy and “indestructible!”

I’ve been wearing these Tevas for years and never had a pair fail on me yet, but I still keep buying more pairs! I can walk many many miles without any irregular rubbing or discomfort. Who wants to wear Chacos that are heavier than most mid hiking boots?? These Tevas are light as a feather and never slow me down.

Great fit

I'm a size 14 wide, and I saw these were on sale so I bought the size 14 (not wide) and they fit great! They are just about the narrowest I would comfortably use. They are super comfortable and feel sturdy. I've only had them for one day, so I can't say much about durability, but they feel solid.

Teva's can be a great deal on Amazon!

I've had more than a few pairs of Teva's and these shoes are great no matter where you buy them - but I'm very happy to have gotten them here, for what I paid! Teva's are great outdoor shoes that you can walk in for long distances without any issues. I'd buy another pair without any hesitation at all.

Lightweight and comfortable

The sandals are very lightweight and comfortable. They look sturdy as well, the straps are very soft. They fit true to size, I wear size 11 US so ordered these in the same size. I bought these in winters so haven’t had the chance to wear them, will update the review after using them in summer.

Front of shoe folds under

This is a basic sandal, I know that, so you get what you pay for. Unlike my old basic Tevas, the sole is more like a thick flip flop. With the way the straps are fastened to the sole, the whole front end is free to fold under as you step forward and catch it on the ground even a bit. It is a bit scary for me as I need sure footing, so I am not sure how much I will be wearing these sandals. I will be more aware for future sandal purchases!

Teva un jour...

Je ne porte que des sandales Teva depuis près de 25 ans du mois de mai au mois de septembre ((j'habite Québec au Canada). Même si je sais qu'une seule paires peut durer jusqu'à 10 ans pour un usage normal, j'en ai toujours 3 ou 4 paires: des sandales de randonnées pour les longues promenades, le modèle de base que je porte pour faire des courses dans le quartier, des Mush pour la maison et des gougounes pour la plage. Je n'en ai jamais regretté une seule paire!

Was a little unsure a first
