Comfy

Socks are great for a geriatric concert goer such as myself, lol. They have good padding and are comfy. Just hard to get into shoes sometimes and you have to relace but other than that these are my new concert socks!

Wish I had more than 1 pair of these socks!

I purchased this pair of Thorlo socks and a pair of the Thorlo Distance Walker Mini-crew socks before a recent trip to NYC because my feet ALWAYS hurt when walking for even short periods and I wanted to try to decrease the foot pain as much as possible since I knew we would be doing a lot of walking. The price scared me since I usually pay less than the sale price for these for multiple pairs of socks since I never really thought there could be that big of a difference between socks besides providing cushioning. Well...after 4 days of sight-seeing, I'm a Thorlo fan for life. The difference between how I felt on the 2 days I was wearing Thorlo socks and the 2 days I was wearing other socks was incredible. The friction on my feet from shoes makes my feet sore, hot and tired, sometimes with even minimal walking. Being overweight exacerbates my foot pain problem. My 2 pairs of Thorlo socks helped me experience relief from existing foot pain and actually helped me feel much better throughout the day. I will admit, the Thorlo Women's Distance Walker Mini-Crew Sock was my favorite but this Thin Cushion Walking Mini Crew was very nice, also. This one was lighter than the other pair, which was nice on a very hot day. The added padding on top of the foot to help with the shoelace area and on the Achilles area are wonderfully helpful! I will be buying more Thorlo socks soon! 2 pairs are not enough!

Super comfortable and worth the cost

These are just socks, after all. I didn't really think they would make a difference, but believe me they do. I have been running/walking on a treadmill or outside for almost 6 years now. It started out a couple of miles one or two days a week but now I do about 8 miles daily - sometimes a little more, sometimes less. Until the last two months I just wore low cut athletic socks from a discount store. Not super cheap, but not high end either. Then I started having problems with ankle and heel pain in one foot where I have had injuries before I started running. I happened to see these socks and bought one pair to try. They made a tremendous difference in my comfort level. My socks no longer rubbed in uncomfortable places and my heel pain subsided in time. They wash well and fit well. I bought a few more pairs and now I can't imagine running without them. Two cautions - they do add bulk. I didn't have to get a different size shoe, but if your shoes are tight already these might not be for you. Also they are warmer than my other socks. This isn't a problem in the cold weather (I live in the northeast) but I am not sure how they will be in hot, humid weather. They seem to absorb moisture now but I might need a lighter version in the summer. They are definitely worth the price if you run or walk daily and are not really satisfied with your current socks.

Avid walker.

I am an avid daily walker. Although the product is described as "thin cushion walking socks" they provide more than adequate cushioning for me. I walk on a daily basis and I am very concerned about having the right shoes and socks. On the downside they are expensive.

The socks are padded on the top, back by your heal and in the arch. I purchased 5 pair for the week and they lasted me a year

Worked for me

I am always plagued with blisters when going for a winter holiday. Last time my husband and I went I ended up with 7 blisters. Sure puts a damper on vacation. It doesn't matter what shoes I wear- sandles, runners or what have you. I did some research on how to avoid blisters and these socks came up. People also used some blister preventing foot balm. So this time for our vacation I was prepared. In my feet, I put the foot balm on the places I tend to get blisters and then the socks. Then put on my runners. (I used for the foot balm a product call "foot fetish" by Skinn. )The socks and balm worked great. I couldn't wear the socks with sandles so I put the foot balm on my feet and I am happy to report I didn't get one blister. I would alternate using my runners and my sandles. An added note, before the vacation I used the shoes I would wear at home a couple weeks before I went on vacation to help as well. NO BLISTERS!! YAY!!

Don’t Breath Well

I have worn Thorlo socks for years but they are hard to get. I was excited to find these ones. They fit fine but whatever they are made of they do not breath. They are damp to wet after wearing them for a day.

Happy Feet. Fabulous cushioning & comfort

I love this brand. I had previously purchased the pink thicker ones, which are the best walking and training socks I've ever had. Different style, but so far just as good. Happy feet. :)
