This sprinkler head has a flaw, but still a Great Useful Maintenance Saver!

I like that it enables you to clean out the head while the system is on and you can use the water pressure to flush the head valve and stem clean. Oh and that you don't get totally wet while cleaning out the head and screen when doing maintenance. Which is the whole point of using this head design feature. Well, at least until the female threads get worn or cross-threaded. Which happens from the water coming into the head before the head takes enough hold of the threads in sprinkler stem enough to hold it on. And that's what causes the threads to get damaged and worn eventually. I just buy the replacement heads because it takes a while for the flaw to render a sprinkler head useless as engineered for maintenance, but not useless for the old manual shut it off method to clean the head & screen out. Perhaps the flaw was a engineered replacement market strategy or just poor engineering? Whatever, I'll still buy and use them because they don't clog and need maintenance often enough to make them go bad soon enough not to still be cost effective to use! I consider my time the real cost in maintenance and any product that lets me skip steps to maintain it worth the time it saves me. This Product does just that! Thanx

Good value

The product is good but these sprinkler heads cannot be adjusted. They are set at their predefined settings - in this case 180. Also the replacement adjustable nozzles have to be Toro specific as the Rain Bird ones won’t work. They are very expensive to replace. Last but not least I also found out these cannot be returned.
