Rats can crawl right out of the harness

Our rats are full grown females and they can crawl out of them. Maybe if the rats was trained to wear the harness then it would work.

Doesn't fit properly on my cat.

I know it says for rabbits, but I bought it for my cats. Regular cat leashes were too expensive. It's a little big, but it does the trick !!! Altough I wouldn't suggest it for cats because it's not a proper fit ,!

Like the lead, Hate the harness

The harness did not work well with my rabbit. She managed to break the front clasp and the added velcro would get caught in her fur as she is a lionhead. The one part about this harness I did like is that the lead was elastic which works well for rabbits because they tend to move in bursts. Less forgiving leashes can jerk a rabbit that takes off suddenly. I would recommend buying it, and throwing out the harness. Then go buy a H-style cat harness if your rabbit is small enough. Then use the lead from this set.

Super cute light blue color and easy to put on

Super cute light blue color and easy to put on. the leash is super elasticy and doubles in length. The downside is if your bunny is going somewhere he is not supposed to its hard to pull back on the leash to stop them becasue it is so stretchy. As the bunny moves forward the vest is secure but if the leash is taught and he pulls back hes learn he is able to slide right out the back, then again we have an escape artist, not rabbit so maybe other bunnies wont be as wise to this.

Super comfy and well-fitting for my daughter's crippled small-size bunny.

Super comfy and well-fitting for my daughter's crippled small-size bunny. When she takes her baby outside for his physical therapy, she puts him into this harness and is able to help him work out his leg muscles without hurting him. The other harness we had would put too much pressure on his skin and he didn't look happy. Unfortunately, that was the only one we could find for him at the time because he was so small. I think it was ferret-sized. But this harness is PERFECT! The full cover means he is hugged & supported snuggly while exercising. He is about 8" -9" long, when on all fours, and about as wide as a McDonald's Cheeseburger from the dollar menu (I was going to say a hamburger patty, but my burgers are HUGE, so I had to be more specific, and I remember how tiny the patties on the $ menu used to be).

Not good design for rabbits.

Though the name of the product says it's for guinea pigs, the label of the product specifically states it is good for small rabbits also. Many reviews said they like it for their rabbit, but I do not see how! As soon as the rabbit jumps, the harness slips off its little round belly where it can get its head out of the top! I'm sure it works fine for a guinea pig, as they walk and don't jump to move about; but this is not a good harness style for a rabbit. Debating on whether to return it or go with a fellow reviewer's idea of keeping the stretchy leash to go with an H style harness. If that's the case, though, $14 was too much money for just a leash. Only gave two stars because it is well made and would possibly work fine for a guinea pig.

Perfect for my rabbit!

This harness and leash is perfect for my rabbit! It is well made, not cheap looking which is important for a persnickety rabbit like mine! It is lightweight so when it is on my bun-bun he isn't fidgety because he feels it! The fit around the neck is great! Not only do you have the Velcro closure but you have a plastic clip you can adjust to fit your rabbit! The second closure is a thick Velcro wrap that really grabs hold! My bunny can't escape and he has tried and I do believe my rabbit could escape Alcatraz!The harness itself is breathable material and quite stylish! The leash is a stretchy kind which my bunny likes, he loves to pretend it's his own bungee cord! Only negative is they send you what they have, you don't pick the color you want!

ehhh..

This was too big and the clasp was very difficult to undo. It will fit my mothers dog so i'll probably giver it to her. I also was not pleased that it was red bc I HATE red. I really had my heart set on the blue in the picture. Oh well... Other than that though its a good material and will hold up. The actual leash is the best part bc it's stretchy enough. It also unclips so you can leave the harness on and then just clip the leash when it's time to go. No a terrible buy. Just didn't work for me. Plus it arrived pretty fast.

Just about perfect

My Frank absolutely LOVES his harness and the freedom that it goves him in the garden. The only problem is that quite often it can slip round down one side, so it needs regular adjusting. I can't adjust it any tighter without it becoming uncomfortable for him. Luckily Frank is bomb proof and it doesn't bother him in the slightest. This harness is much better than the previous strappy one that I tried, that one had a heavy metal clip on the top to attach the lead to, and that constantly slipped down underneath his belly, meaning that he kept treading on the lead and stopping him moving forwards. This one is working for us though.

Terrible purchase!

Do not fall into the trap that rats might fit in these. I have Dumbo/Fancy boys, the largest of the large. They are absolutely too small for the neck bit. I am now using the leash with my own homemade harness.

Good sized harness for female rat. It actually works.

This is the only rat harness out of 3 I've bought that is actually big enough. My biggest girl had operation and bandage wasn't holding, put this harness on and she left it alone. Don't get upset if your rat wiggles out of it, it's what rats do. When tight enough, works. Only issue wehad was the neck fastener, if was on top, side or a smaller fastener instead of under, may have stayed on longer but that is also about training rats when babies. Thank you for a harness that works.

Useless for a rat

My daughter kept asking for this harness for her rats, so we decided to try it. We tried to put it on the rat, and I don't think any rat would be happy to wear it. As soon as the rat has her head through the harness, the rat tries to get her front paws through the head opening as well. This is simply the rat's instinct to get through a hole, no way will it ever walk in this harness like a dog. After trying a few times, I felt sorry for the rat. The harness is well made, but not useful for a rat unfortunately, it was just a waste of money for us.

Do not use for rats

Although made to a good quality, was completely unsuitable for both of my boy rats, too big around the neck and chest and constantly escaping from them. Wanted this so they had a safe way of roaming the house and garden. Very disappointed
