Well Made Shirt

This is my second Tru-Spec Tactical Response Shirt and I have held off giving a review based on sizing issues. I bought my first shirt a few years ago, which was the same size (XL/Long) as the one I purchased here on Amazon, but there is a big difference, size-wise, between the two. I'm 6' tall and weigh 215 lb's with a 42-44" chest so I fall between a large & extra large on the U.S. Military size chart. I can wear either but prefer the extra room of the XL. My first shirt, which is in digital woodland, fit more like a 2XL (at the very least) in the chest area with the shoulders about right for an XL. This second shirt pretty much runs true to size and since it's my latest purchase I would tend to think my last experience should apply to any shirt ordered at this point in time. The difference between the two is so pronounced that I'm guessing that my first shirt was tagged wrong, unusual for the high quality of Tru-Spec's offerings. I have many different coats, shirts & pants from Tru-Spec & Propper and find that the Tru-Spec items tend to have a more generous cut than the Propper's. Why this is I can't say because they are both supposed to be following Military size specifications. If you are not familiar with this type of shirt be forewarned that the pockets don't offer much room, very little in fact. All four pockets, two breast & two sleeve, probably don't have the room of one bottom pocket on a BDU type coat. This is a light to medium weight shirt, with zippered front, made of quality materials that should provide many years of service.

A Professional Cut

I experimented with three variants of the TRU coat. A Tru Specs Xtreme which was absolutely True to size (which when measured with an inch tape, the shirt measures 25" from armpit to armpit straight up). A Propper ATACS, again true to size and measuring 26" when measured likewise. And Finally The Tru Spec TRU shirt which fits like the Proppers. My chest measures 43" and the size LARGE is perfect. The Multicam Black fabric appears to be slightly thinner than the TRu Specs Multicam Regular variant but is a lot lighter & softer too. That's probably because it is made of the 50 - 50 NyCo fabric. Very comfortable in moderate weather conditions and offers a clean cut professional look. Wish they included the superfabric elbow pads in these too like the Xtreme variants. A little expensive when compared to their Propper counterparts but worth a go.

very nice! Excellent colors

Size chart is a bit off. Had to sent the first one back. I'm a big guy 6' 1" 255 lbs. The first one was an XXL tall, I was swimming in it. Reordered XL tall and fits with a little bit of extra room. very nice! Excellent colors, just as picture shows. Sturdy and comfortable. And got it cheaper than what TRU-SPEC.com was selling it for. will buy again!

Fits the Big Guy perfectly

This understated multi cam black is so cool. I'm a big boy and this 3xLarge tactical response shirt fits great. wear it as a light jacket. Sleeves are always too long for me but, I just velcro them at my wrist and I'm ready for the range or the farm. Repels water, it's been raining for a week and I'm still dry. You can't go wrong with this product. Bought it thru BHFO $58. Good service.

Great jacket to go with the pants

True to military sizing, fit very well, wear well. I have taken these into rain, sleet, snow, briars, bushes, up and down trees, ladders, and just about everything else. Ive had these covered in mud, they wash well and wear true. I have yet to tear a hole in them. Great jacket to go with the pants, same quality. Tru spec has always been good in my eyes and has yet to show otherwise.

Operational Movements In The Dark

Fits comfortably, durable fabric. YMMV- The camo pattern itself is at the very least visually compelling. I can't speak for ALL environments, but I can say it works great for florida urban environments at night. ...Which in hindsight may be the most suspicious thing I have ever typed in a review.

Fits as sized/expected.

Purchased for work, fits as expected/sized. My only complaint is the Velcro on EVERY POCKET. If these were available with quieter buttons, it would have been 5 stars. Hope you're hearing me, TruSpec.

Tenía dudas acerca de pedir un producto de importación, pero llegó cinco días antes de lo esperado en la talla correcta, nuevo y empacado adecuadamente. Al instante puedo decir que se nota la calidad de la fabricación, tela MULTICAM original en RipStop. Ya con el uso veré el desempeño real de la camisola. Volveré a comprar con TruSpec, y espero continúen expandiendo su negocio en México, ya que es difícil conseguir uniformes originales de calidad aquí. I had doubts about buying an importation product, but it arrived five days earlier than expected in the right size, new and properly packaged. As of right now, I can appreciate the manufacturing quality in original MULTICAM Rip-Stop fabric. As I keep using it, I'll discover the true potential and resilience of this jacket. I will buy again from TruSpec and I hope they expand their business and products in Mexico, since it's quite difficult to get original and high quality uniforms here.
