Perfect for me!

Firstly, I am a type 2 diabetic with a family history of varicose veins. It is true that there is really no set standard for compression stockings and one has to spend money to find the fit that is perfect for them. I tried inexpensive ones with a lower compression rate until I was told by my vascular surgeon that 20-30 is what I needed. Due to my diabetes, I need an open-toe style to prevent ingrown toenail infections. I also like the elastic on the foot part to be at the base of my toes as opposed to being in the middle of my foot around the instep. I have a wide foot with bursitis and tendonitis of the Achilles heel on my left leg with Stasis dermatitis due to vascular insufficiency which probably was aggravated by a knee replacement six years ago. Soooooo I've got a LOT of stuff going on. A dermatologist told me I should use thigh highs. Then I saw a vascular surgeon who ordered a sonogram of both legs. He said there was no way I needed thigh highs and he was absolutely correct. This brand and particularly style #0865 fits all of my needs. They are comfortable to wear for at least 12 hours a day and they stay up. They also do not bind or constrict any part of my leg due to a poor fit. I found that was a big problem with several brands I tried before the Truform. They are well made and well priced. My legs no longer feel like they weigh a hundred pounds each and the chronic stabbing pains around my ankles and calves are gone. I stopped taking the gabapentin for the pain. Hated the side effects of that medication. There is no reason for me to look for another brand or style it is perfect for ME. Like I have said above. Your mileage may vary and everyone has different needs. Good luck in your quest. I'm glad I found my perfect stocking.

Inconsistent Fit

These knee highs are priced well, but the fit is very inconsistent. One pair is very comfortable and another is so tight at the top that I have to cut the band.
