If there's loose powder in your package, don't open it at ALL!

Mine came with powder obviously loose in the package itself, so I wanted to be extra-careful and opened the package itself outdoors and away from the fabric I was trying to dye. Nevertheless, it ended up that the powder dye loose in the package was black dye, and it gets absolutely everywhere and immediately stains anything. Keep that in mind for sure when you're adding water, too - it could be a lot more messy of course, but the powder still immediately stains anything it comes into contact with. Once you've actually set up it's not too difficult to use but the gloves it comes with aren't worth using, so make sure you buy separate gloves and set up a good area with a lot of plastic and cleanup materials nearby. I used a folding table outside so I could hose everything off afterward. I had enough dye to tie dye one tee-shirt and a fitted and flat queen-size sheet, but I needed to do a little dye mixing and use all dyes (except the black dye, which I couldn't use at all for obvious reasons) to make that work. If you're hoping to use the same color patterns for several items of clothing, I might suggest buying more than one package.

The bathing suit material didn’t take the color as well it’s almost pastel but I still really like how it turned out and the hoodie turned out perfect - both were white but got something on them in the wash some kind of dark grayish colors blobs not sure what it was but couldn’t get it out this dye worked perfectly to mask it and save my items

I bought a few tie dye kits to have a fun day, but the bottles were small and we needed to buy more from the store to make sure each of our shirts got enough dye on them. I did love the colors though in this kit!

Affordable kit & great results

The only thing I will say is that if you're dying larger/thicker garments like sweatpants, they'll soak up a LOT of dye. My friend and I used the entire kit to dye the 5 garments you see in the photos and there's still a decent amount of white on them. We were happy enough with the results however that we are ordering a second kit to dye some more items :)

Easy to use and very rich colors

I tie dyed some white cotton shirts and onesies with this kit and the colors come out sooo deep and rich. The color stays well through washes.

Beautiful colours

I used this lovely combination on a set of massage sheets I was trying to dye, the material I used however was 100% polyester and I was not aware that could not be dyed without a specific dye and boiling water. This picture is just before I rinsed the dye out.

Nice colours, but major spotting issue

Firstly, I wish they had come with refill packs as some of the tulip tie dye kits do, as the bottles alone absolutely do not cover 12 projects as the label states, or anything close to that number. The colours are really nice pastel shades, but it makes the presence of some dark spots more obvious. Every item we tie dyed had some pretty major spotting and I feel like it kind of ruins the look. We followed the instructions, mixed the dyes well, but unfortunately did not get the desired results.

Great Product!

I bought this to make shirts with my daycare kids for Father’s Day presents. We had more than enough dye for 8 shirts, probably could’ve made 12-14 shirts depending on size (we used mostly size medium). Great deal for what you get.

Fun activity !

Kit can make multiple items. Instructions give you different techniques to try. I would buy this again with different colours as well. Colours are very concentrated and could be watered down for a more pastel look.
