They do the job

My RV has significantly different lengths of heating ductwork. This results in radically greater air flow between the registers close to the furnace from those much farther away. Our furnace was in our bedroom which would quickly overheat while the kitchen at the other end of our trailer would be easily 20 degrees lower. Replacing our bedroom register with one of these made a huge difference in reducing airflow into the bedroom and increasing airflow in the kitchen. Now no more than about a 5 degree temperature difference between the rooms. Overall, these registers do the job. I only give them four stars overall for two reasons. They are a bit noisy when the lovers are fully closed (which still lets some air through), and the design of the louver levers that protrude from the front earns zero stars. With our registers close to the floor the levers are frequently getting bumped and opening back up. Horrible lever design.

Installs easily

Worked great to place a heat vent in duct pipe that runs through my workshop.

Does not completely close

Easy to install. I modified mine for a custom project and were easy to cut with a dremel on low speed. The louvers don’t seal the hole completely though so some air will leak by.

Blocks a lot of flow

I just bought a new toy hauler and the bedroom was getting SUPER HOT while the rest of the rig was warming up. I installed this and on the first night closed it completely and it worked perfectly. We were able to sleep comfortably in the room and the rest of the trailer was the same temperature.

Easy to install and great fit

These are nice sturdy registers. They fit right on my 4" vent pipe and screwed right in the original holes. The only issue I had was that the airflow will cause the vents to shut. I had to wrap a rubber band around the knob to keep it open.

Used as a replacement in our camper batgroom

We needed a vent cover that would close off because the vent blows right onto the side of the toilet. While installing it, we had to screw the duct hose into this to keep it from sliding off. The material is pretty flimsy and hard to keep the faceplate on. It does pretty much close off the heater air flow.

Ok needs shorter arms

Does stop alot of air flow but not all. Also the closing arms stick out about a 1 1/2 inch so it can and does get clip alittle when wife gets into bed it does whistle a bit.

A great reno aid.

I used two of these during the development of my basement. The standard rectangular heat defuser coming off of the plenum was in an inconvenient location, so I blocked it off and replaced it with these units which correct the problem. Very effective units. Easy to install and use.
