Poor copy of Irwin made of subpar materials

Please see pictures. It is a copy of Irwin self adjusting wire stripper, which I also own and which is great. Based on that I thought that it should work OK for me, especially for half the price. It worked great for regular 14GA and 16GA wire, same as Irwin. Problems started when I had to adjust the tensioner to strip thinner wire. Vanquish started binding bad, to the point that you have to manually open it each time after use. I have opened it to see what the problem is and the internal slider is made of low quality metal that is not hardened well. The spring adjuster has a hardened pointer, and that thing has scored the slider a lot after just 10 uses. Oiling it may help a bit, but I see no future for this wire stripper for thin wire. See Irwin part for comparison, it has zero scoring after many years of use. I will probably send it back and pay double to get another Irwin.
